Dog walking apps have become increasingly popular in today's market. Targeting people who work long hours or have high energy dogs, dog walking apps help pet owners keep their dogs happy while remaining at work. Dog walking is also an easy way for people to make some money, so there are always many dog walkers to choose from. These apps can also allow a dog owner freedom to go places and do things that would otherwise be impossible with a dog. Overall, dog walking apps have become popular for good reason; they are useful, simple to use, and beneficial to both the dog and owner.

Know Where They Go

A great benefit of using a dog walking app is that most apps have software installed that allows you to track where your dog walker is taking your dog. This is called delivery routing software because, to put it simply, it tracks the route of your "delivery" which, in this case, would be your dog. This can give you peace of mind because you are now able to see, in real time, where your dog is. Pet owners typically hire dog walkers because they are unable to walk their dog enough, not because they do not walk to walk their dog. They care deeply about their pet and their overall well being. So, knowing that the person you hired came to get your dog and is now taking a safe, well traveled route, is a great perk of dog walking apps. If you were to hire a friend to walk you dog, this kind of technology would not be available to you.

Getting Rid of Some Energy

While the purpose of a dog walking app is fairly simple, there is a huge benefit that can be derived. Dogs, especially puppies or young dogs, can have copious amounts of energy. This energy can only be used up by physically playing, walking, or exercising your dog. However, when you are stuck working all day, this might be impossible and therefore you are stuck with a hyper, overactive dog when you get home. This can be exhausting if you work a difficult job and just want to relax when you get home. If you use a dog walking app, you can have someone come by during the day to help get some of that energy out. Then, once you get home, your dog might be a little calmer and not quite as wound up.

Exercise

As dogs age, much like people, they tend to gain weight. This can be due to many things such as overeating, under exercising, and/or underlying medical issues. In particular, Labradors have a genetic mutation that increases the chances of obesity in that breed. In order to combat any predispositions to obesity you, as a pet owner, have to feed the proper food/amounts as well as exercise your pets. This can be challenging for a single pet owner with a full time job. If you hire a dog walker to help exercise your pet during the day, that could help immensely. You can also track how much your dog gets walked every day, and either increase or decrease the amount your dog is walked once you get home.

Gives You a Break

Many times, if a dog owner wants to go out to eat or do anything after work, they have to go home first in order to let out their dog and take him/her for a walk. However, using a dog walking app, you could easily hire someone to walk your dog for you so you will be free to go to your dinner. This is extremely beneficial for anyone who works in an unpredictable work environment or for anyone who needs to have work dinners or benefits after work hours. By hiring a dog walker, you can just go straight to the event from work and not worry about running home to let out your dog.
