Elizabeth Taylor's engagement rings are some of the most memorable rings in history

Elizabeth Taylor's engagement rings are some of the most memorable rings in history. They are often large and sparkly, and she is known for wearing them on her fingers. Taylor's first engagement ring was from her husband, Michael Todd. It was a diamond and platinum ring with a large center diamond. Todd gave her the ring in 1957, and they were married for just over a year before he died in a plane crash.

Her second engagement ring was from actor Richard Burton, whom she married twice. The first ring he gave her was a pear-shaped diamond ring, which she wore on her right hand. The second ring, given to her in 1968, was an emerald-cut diamond ring that she wore on her left hand. Burton famously said that the ring cost him "three months' salary."

Taylor's third engagement ring was from her seventh husband, Senator John Warner. He gave her a diamond ring with a large center diamond and smaller diamonds on the sides. The couple was married for six several years before divorcing in 1982.

While she was married to Warner, Taylor began wearing her engagement ring on a necklace. She did this because she said the ring was too big and sparkly to wear on her finger. The ring has been photographed many times and is now one of the most iconic pieces of jewelry in the world.
