Niagara Falls has been known as the honeymoon capital since President Burr’s daughter and her husband, Theodosia and Joseph Alston chose it as their honeymoon getaway nearly 200 years ago.

Certainly, there are others now on the other side of the Mississippi River, but Niagara Falls is still a classic honeymoon destination. More than 50,000 honeymooners make Niagara Falls their honeymoon destination of choice each year. What’s more, you won’t need dozens of servants and pack horses to enjoy the trip.
