American singer-songwriter-producer Charlie Puth. On December 2, 1991, he entered the world in Rumson, New Jersey. He exhibited an early interest in music, and at age four, his mother began teaching him to play the piano.

Puth earned a degree in music production and engineering from Boston's Berklee Institute of Music in 2013. The YouTube covers he posted as a student at Berklee caught Ellen DeGeneres' notice, and she eventually signed him to her record company, Eleveneleven.

Puth sprang to fame with his homage to the late actor Paul Walker, "See You Again," which was included on the soundtrack of the 2015 film "Furious 7."
