As soon as the announcement for fastening seat belts was made, his wife grabbed his hand. He could see a slight nervousness on her face, although she was smiling and seemed very happy. However, this was the first flight for both of them, and they were sitting on an airplane for the first time. The flight from Delhi airport to Bangalore airport was going to end in just a few hours, but the memories of this experience would last a lifetime for them.

It was quite a coincidence that it was their first flight and that too on their honeymoon. Perhaps it was a memorable gift that he could give to his wife. With this thought, he was very happy from the inside. In just a little while, the flight took off.

"Okay, you can undo your seat belt now," he smiled at his wife, referring to the announcement that had just been made.

His wife replied, "Yes, but I'm not able to undo it."

Then came the moment when his hand was very close to his wife's body while trying to help her with the seat belt. It was the first time he had touched her in that way while undoing her seat belt.

Flying high above the entire world, he did what he had been waiting for the past five days. The joint family structure in India is not always beneficial, as so many people live in one house that even after getting married, he had not been able to spend quality time with his wife for the past five days.

However, now on the flight, they were sitting close to each other.

But he was not sure how to start a conversation with the girl.

He was just thinking when his wife asked, "Will we get any food on this flight? I have seen in Bollywood movies that food is served on flights."

At first, he thought of being honest and telling her that domestic flights do not serve food, and it is only included in the ticket for long-haul flights. After all, they would reach Bangalore in just two to three hours.

However, his wife had asked him directly for the first time, and he knew that ordering anything on such flights would not be cheap.

Still, he replied, "What would you like to eat?"

His wife responded, "Ask them what is available to eat."

He called the air hostess and asked, "Can we get something to eat? My wife is feeling hungry."

The air hostess handed them a small menu and said, "Madam, you can order something from this menu."

Upon seeing the menu, his wife burst out laughing.

He was surprised by her sudden laughter.

He asked, "What happened?"

His wife smiled and said, "I was just testing you. My cousin had already told me not to order anything on the flight, as the food is very expensive. Look, the Paneer Roll that we can buy in Bangalore for 60 rupees is available on the flight for 130 rupees. You also agreed to buy expensive things just to fulfill my wish. You should have stopped me."

"Oh, it's not expensive at all. I never even thought about getting expensiveness of food order," he replied.

"You go ahead and order whatever food you want."

Upon hearing this, his wife made a serious face and said, "Don't try to impress me by spending too much money. I am your wife. You can only impress me with your love and care."

With these words, she rested her head on his shoulder.

He looked at her with surprise.

She then whispered softly, "Would you like some biscuits? I have some in my purse. And once we reach Bangalore, let's have a delicious dosa!"

He couldn't help but smile and replied, "Sure."

This first flight experience became the beginning of their friendship.

From that moment on, they had open conversations throughout the flight.

Now, 17 years have passed since their marriage.

Air travel in India is not as affordable for everyone. In all these years, they never flew together again.

But the memories of their first flight are still fresh in their minds.

He remembers the lesson his wife taught him on that flight - that he could impress her not with expensive gifts but with his love and care.

The first flight gave them the formula for a happy married life.
