9 Toxic Thoughts We All Secretly Say To Ourselves (But Need to Stop Immediately!)

Don't let negative thinking keep you down

We all experience moments of self-doubt where we tell ourselves things that don't necessarily serve us and our well-being. Unfortunately, it's easy to become addicted to these negative thoughts, holding onto them more than we'd like. To help us break away from vicious cycles of toxic thinking, here are 9 things that we should stop telling ourselves:

1. I'm not good enough – This is an especially damaging thought as it can set off a domino effect of further negative thoughts about yourself. If you find yourself thinking this, try and understand why you feel unworthy and come up with ways in which you can try to reach your goals or accept failure instead of feeling shameful for trying something new.

2. I am too old/too young – Rather than relying on a random/arbitrary measure, why not squander in your own aptitude? Age is just a figure and many aspects including assurance, ambition, and perseverance have got nothing to do with one's birthdate. Don't restrict yourself by picking an age threshold–try having faith in your ability.

3. Everyone else is better than me – That may very well be untrue so don’t go comparing your life or achievements to what other people have done or said. Believing in yourself can help boost your motivation and give you the courage to take the next step on your journey toward success!

4. My friends will abandon me – Good friendships should last through changes that occur over time; however sometimes temporarily shifting dynamics is necessary but this doesn’t mean they will leave you abandoned on the sidelines with no one left by your side whenever a change occurs. Just enjoy the moment right now to appreciate what you have as well as adapt over time if needed!

5. I'm stuck here forever - It's perfectly understandable for life beyond the boundaries of our safe haven to feel intimidating, but that doesn’t suggest you're going nowhere soon; on the contrary, testing one's limits will aid in fostering robustness which will eventually lead to advancement. So don't take those untruths to heart!

6. I'll never achieve my ultimate goal– Don’t underestimate how far effort could take you although failure might deter some people back multiple times determination is key; no matter how improbable it looks right now-all successful people started somewhere remember that!

7. Nobody understands me– While it’s natural to want some degree of understanding; sometimes waiting around for someone to understand exactly where we stand isn't always possible due to busy schedules, lack of communication, etc. Don't forget it's okay (and healthy!)to keep some aspects of one's life private for oneself too even if nobody fully comprehends each intricate part about it- embraced yourself alone as much as with others!

8. I'll always be miserable - All of us have our down moments under the circumstances that hoping totally on others for contentment is both infeasible and unrealistic now and then as everybody requires those supportive moments from within themselves more than anybody else. Life has its fluctuations constantly so it's okay to not feel pleased 100% continually, peep inside yourself once in a while might be, it can be marvelous (truly!!)what may be revealed throughout those vulnerable minutes!

9. Everything is my fault -While accepting mistakes is sure to be a great learning experience granted due to faulty judgment it is important not holding oneself accountable nor blame oneself for every mistake made despite any circumstance - learn also delegate responsibility when necessary without beating around the bush because career wise taking responsibility doesn't directly equate choosing all tangible results into standing shoulder deep once the wrong turn was taken!
