Not only do they bring the temperature of your home to a comfortable level, but they are also economical and do not take your electricity bill to an alarming height.

Understanding that with the mention of room coolers, another question might rise in your mind : what type of a room cooler is the best option for you.

The type of room cooler that is perfect for you and your home depends on your usage and the size of your room. There are many types of air coolers, however the following types are the most commonly used

  1. Tower Air Coolers
  2. Desert Air Coolers
  3. Personal Air Coolers
  4. Window Air Coolers
  5. Room Coolers

Let us discuss the above mentioned air coolers in more detail.

Tower Air Cooler

These are the perpendicular room coolers you most commonly. They are quite powerful and are able to cover a bigger area, thus the reason you can spot them in large areas.

They are most efficient and bring the temperature of the room down rather quickly. The reason they are this efficient lies in the way they send out air. The tower air coolers send out air vertically. A disadvantage they might bring with them is that they require constant maintenance, due to their ability to cover a large area.

They use the combination of fan cooling and water to function; they take in the hot air from their surroundings, cool it down and give cool air out. Tower coolers don’t make a lot of noise.

Desert Air Coolers

This type of air coolers are designed to cool down the rooms with conditions similar to a desert, low humidity and high temperature.

Much like a tower air cooler, they also take in hot air and give out cool air, while doing this the air coolers are also responsible for adding moisture to your room, making it more comfortable. Desert Air Coolers lower the temperature of your room by a great deal.

They are available in large size as well as in an industrial scale.

Personal Coolers

If you are looking to cool down a small room and do not wish to invest in some of the best inverter AC , you should look for a personal air cooler. They are light in weight and thus not only do they bring the room temperature down, they can be taken anywhere with you.

Their small size allows them to cool down a small room, all the while bringing down your energy consumption as well. An advantage to having these in your room, apart from lower temperature and lower energy consumption, is they are quite healthy for you, as they clean the air and provide fresh and cool air.

Window Coolers

These air coolers are meant to be installed on a window, with more than half of its body outside of the house, leaving you with ample space.

They consume less energy as compared to other room coolers; however they need more maintenance and are more expensive.

Room Coolers

Operating on the same mechanism as a desert air cooler, a room cooler can be used as a cheap alternative to it. They are the most common air coolers in US.
