Before you rejoice that you have found an ingenious solution to make your home in the shortest possible time, here are some disadvantages of modular homes that you should consider:

• apart from the purchase of the prefabricated house, you will have to find and buy a suitable plot of land, which, as far as you know, is a difficult mission;
• often, the price communicated to you by the manufacturer does not include the sanitary installations, the electrical ones, and the insulation, so the amount you give at the end can be 20% higher.
• in most cases, the manufacturer requests that part of the money be paid during the manufacture of the modular house, following that the full amount will be paid until its completion;
• because they have to be transported from the factory to the place where they will be assembled, the modules that are part of the prefabricated houses can be damaged during transport;
• if the team that assembles your house does not do its job properly, it is possible to wake up with problems related to the strength of the structure;
• although they are not much cheaper than the houses built with the construction site and they look as good as these, the modular houses are still considered to be inferior, of poorer quality. Because of this, the sale of a prefabricated house may become a problem and the amount you get will be much less than the amount you initially paid.
