Small Business Christmas Shopping

Ever since I was about 10 years old, I realized the appreciation that comes with handmade gifts. At the time I could only do a little knitting, and I hadn’t yet found out about online stores such as Etsy or Craftsy.

Each Christmas since then I’ve done my utmost to find the perfect handmade gifts for everyone on my list. I mostly make the gifts myself, buying patterns from places like Etsy and Love & Crafts, as hand making things myself to give away seems to bring the most happiness.

Below is my Christmas shopping list for someone who loves to make the crafts themselves to give away.

This cute pug crochet pattern is easy and affordable. Ambercraftstore is a great Etsy store for crochet patterns for dogs, cats and other items. Store owner Tatiana creates her own patterns, and she provides great help if you get stuck while creating with her patterns.

This super cute horse pattern is easy to make, and is available in 3 different languages: English Dutch and German. Misshookcrochet shop owner Carla Schwind also has created many cute doll patterns. I have personally bought from her before and she is super sweet!

This amigurumi lion pattern created by Sandra Haupt is extremely life-like! I love how she included tons of pictures in the pattern and she offers to send videos and/or extra pictures if you get stuck while creating from her pattern. Sandra’s store, Dinegurumi, also sells many more cute patterns including crabs, kangaroos, snails, birds and more!

Lovecrafts is a private owned yarn craft store based in Denmark.

They sell 1,000’s of shades and colors of yarn,

knitting patterns & supplies,

crochet patterns & supplies,

along with other craft odds and ends.

Their prices compare with Michaels and Walmart, with products of equal or better quality.

This next section of my list is for those who like to give thoughtful, handmade gifts made by others.

This handcrafted Mahogany F-22 Raptor sold by WoodArtUSA can be personalized by engraving a name and/or short message on an optional name plate.

WoodArtUSA is a great shop for anything wood carved, especially anything planes! From fighter jets to small props to private jets to airliners, all his carved places are amazingly beautiful!!!

This family ornament can be customized for what state or how many states your family lives in. It is a great gift for family when you can’t be there yourself.

This sweet, rustic floating shelf comes in multiple lengths from 2 to 8 ft with many stain options including Chestnut, walnut, mahogany, weathered oak and more. This shelf is great for anyone who loves a rustic kitchen look (like me) and needs extra shelf space. And they’re not just for the kitchen!
