DIY Shoe Charms

Have you ever had the impression that your regular sneakers are lacking something? Try accessorising them with these enticing shoe accessories!

You will need the following items:

• Shrink film (This lesson works with any type of shrink film, but sanded shrink film produces the slick plastic finish. You may also rough up some transparent shrink film with sand paper.)

• Clear glue

• Glitter

• Superglue

• Pin backs

• Scissors

• A ruler

• An oven

• Colored pencils or markers

• Clear glue

• Glitter

• Superglue

• Pin backs

• Scissors

• A ruler

• Mod Podge is an option.

How to accomplish it:

Step 1:

On the shrink film, draw the contour of the shapes you wish. It's better to confine the designs to an inch or two in length. If you are stuck for ideas, look up stencils on the internet, print them out, then trace over them.

Step 2:

Make your shapes by cutting them out.

Step 3:

Use coloured pencils or permanent markers to colour in your shapes.

Step 4:

Bake the shrink film cutouts according to the shrink film's directions until they are fully flat.

Step 5:

Turn the shapes over and apply superglue to the places where you want the pin backs to go after you've completed Steps One through Four. Press the backs of the pins into the forms with care. Allow them to dry for at least one night. (NOTE: Apply adhesive on the rough side of the form if using clear or sanded shrink film.)

Adding Glitter to Pins is an optional step.

Step 6:

On the smooth side of the shape, apply ordinary glue.

Glitter should be poured on top of the adhesive.

Spread the glitter out with your finger or a popsicle stick after applying more glue on top of the glitter layer. Spread the glitter until it covers the entire surface. Allow one to two hours for drying. After the glitter layer has dried, you may apply a layer of Mod Podge.

Pin these lovely things to your shoelaces now! Put your shoes on and flaunt your new charms!

Croc Charms:

Crocs are a highly popular type of footwear. The opportunity to customise Crocs with various charms is boosting the Croc fad even further. Jibbitz are the name for these charms. Jibbitz are available in a range of forms, sizes, and colours, and are widely available at shoe stores and retail outlets.

How to Put Them On

Choose your charms. Croc charms come in a range of designs, such as NFL emblems and Disney characters.

In one hand, hold the Croc, and in the other, the charm.

Make sure the black bottom of the charm is situated over one of the Croc's holes.

Push the black portion of the charm through the Croc's hole firmly. It's possible that you will need to stretch the Croc a little to get the charm started.

To remove the charm, slowly take it out of the Croc while flexing the shoe.
