Cheap and simple from me to you

Money money money!

That’s all that’s on our minds when Christmas and birthdays come around and it can be all hit at once, so here are ten amazing gift ideas for you to make on the cheap for your loved ones.

Chocolate Heaven!

Check out at the pound shop or dollar store for any colour plastic cutlery sets or spoon sets and some chocolate.

Melt down a whole bar of milk chocolate and add in half a cup of double cream on a double boiler and mix together until all your chocolate is melted.

Using a simple ice cube tray (room temperature) pour in your melted chocolate and then place in your chosen colour plastic spoon carefully and then leave in the fridge to harden. If you wish by all means add any additional colourful sweets or marshmallows for that adorable touch!

Wrap in cellophane and tie with a simple ribbon! This with a dollar mug and a small bag of powdered hot chocolate can make the best present for a co-worker or even a friend it’s personal and adorable!

Death by Sugar

Locate your local pound shop or dollar store and pick up large bags of any sweets you can find laces, cola bottle, gummies, anything you like.

Find a simple jar and wash it out clean making sure all the lid is clean ready to use!

Fill your jars with all kinds of sweets and candy you know your loved one will like and simply place the lid on and decorate with ribbon and a label.

Lotions and Potions

Have a friend who loves all the smellies in the world? But everything on the high street is too pricey? Awesome! I have a few perfect ideas for you!

Bath Salts:

Grab a one kg bag of Epsom salts from Walmart (America) or Asda (England) or any herbal store in your region this can vary in price from £2-£4.

Find an empty jar and make sure to wash it out before use and dry.

Pour Epsom salts into your jar to get the measurements right and then pour back into a mixing bowl, add 20-30 drops of any essential oils of your choice (grapefruit, eycalyptus and rose are a very calming and a great muscle soak).

Mix your contents together and smell as you blend, you may add more to your bath salts if you wish just be sure to not over power your senses!

Optional: you can add food colouring to your concoction if you like lively colours or you can just keep it simple and natural.

Pour your mixture back into your chosen jar and decorate with a simple ribbon and a tag!

Sugar Scrub:

Add one cup of extra virgin olive oil to a mixing bowl and half a cup of coconut oil (be sure to make your coconut oil soft first), mix together until fully blended and add 20-30 drops of your chosen essential oil. Mix well.

Add two cups of either caster sugar (this is a lot softer for sensitive skin), or cane sugar and mix in until it is slightly thick and becomes more of a solid state

*If you need to add more essential oil add no more then five drops*

Place into an empty, cleaned jar and decorate.

Lip Balm:

You can use an old lip balm container for this or you can buy these empty online for very little prices!

Scoop out two teaspoons of petroleum jelly and place into a double boiler, wait until it is a liquid and drop in ten drops of essential oil of your choice. Once blended and stirred in, pour your contents into your lip balm container and place in a cool place for about one hour.

All of these products can be done as a brilliant gift set and made simply and cheap and these are ready for anyone! These can be messy but where is the fun without the mess! ENJOY MAKING!
