You wake to a breeze. A cool flow of wind that sends slight shivers through the body. You question if the summer is over & winter arrived sooner than later but it didn’t. Autumn is here & the leaves came to play. Sweater weather breezes in & warm climates hovers & leaves. The leaves bloom in and change color whilst breaking off its parental guardian the tree to leave the nest, falling to the ground. The wind arriving in waves blowing the leaves in every direction. Subtle shine from the sun that evolves the green petals of nature to blend in with the aesthetics that is fall.

October brings something special & unique. A mix between wearing a sweater with shorts & vise-versa, as well as the transition of holidays season & the changing of the leaves. Let’s not forget the travel preparations that begins to take place. September was all about enjoying what’s left of the summer heat, starting education & recovering from the summer vibes. By October, education is already settled in & the summer heat has dispersed. This is the month when the transition between summer & winter clothes are also taken place.

Food becomes a big part in this autumn season. October opens the opportunity to activities. Events such as, pumpkin carving, haunted houses & apple picking brings out connections & bonding. The pumpkin spice "season" may have begun in September, but coming into this month with all the other wonderful additions like hot chocolate & salted caramel, this month gives variety to beverages.

From pumpkin spice to killer of the night, horror movies thrive into a month, no season like this. The clouds darken & the feeling of the chills through the night, horror & scary movies are victorious here. The entertainment industry is flooded with this. From TV shows, to episodes, to even movies, the creatures that go bump in the night makes a scary & dare I say haunting revitalizes of the spirit in a way that gives you that crave. Walking through the dark forest with a sky so gray & luminescent by the moon. The shadows that engulf the night with the whistles of the trees. A sense of gloom & juxtapose to the branches you feel a tapping on your shoulder. Petrified in fear you snap back & see nothing.

The horror and the beauty of October changes & blooms with yourself. The wind flows through your body & the colors of the wind flows through to bring in a new light. A light that shines on the world to give in to the sun & wind. With holidays included like Indigenous day & Halloween to conclude the month, celebrations with times to explore is eminent.

Enjoy the joys of this month while exploring the opportunities it has to offer. Whether you're traveling through a bed of leaves or running from a zombie October gives quality time to family, friends & everyone in-between. The weather shifts & the leaves change along with spotting a sweater or two is a good indicator that its October.

October has adopted the month for change. From the countless birthdays, to the events like haunted houses & the pumpkin picking. The decorating of the homes to commemorate the season or something spooky to welcome the fun of horror. The opportunity to prepare for to travel & the shopping for not clothing but for decorations. This month is the month to bring about change. Change brings new meaning into ones own environment.

Whether you are redecorating your home or pulling out those bins for winter clothing, this month helps bring a shift in your well-being. Sometimes it can take a looking at something familiar in a brand-new light or scenery to clear your mind of the hustle & bustle of life.
