A breakup is always a traumatizing moment for many. After spending time with someone, you feel close and intimate with them. But when the breakup comes in, it feels like they are plucking hair off your scalp or something of the sort. A divorce can be daunting but it turns out to be a pivot in some people’s lives.

To be sincere, getting over breakups isn’t something easy as said. It might torment you physically, psychologically, and emotionally. And in that case, you need the very best advice you can get. Otherwise, a breakup can lead to your total downfall. If you are planning on divorcing your partner or you’ve already done but you don’t know how you can continue rolling life without them, here are some tips for you. You will need them!!!

1. GET A PET

Speaking of loyalty, humans are not a match to dogs. Pets can turn out to be family. Your pet will be there when you need it, not until you ditch it. Pets will never speak of anything like “break up or divorce”. Supposing you are this kind of a person who lives alone in your apartment, would you mind adding another heartbeat to your already owned paradise? Pets can be entertaining. This week on vocal, I read an article about a fellow who has a bilingual dog (funny).

2. GET CLOSER TO NATURE

Nature has always proved its healing power. With nature around you, Expect a greener soul which will let you easily forgive and forget the past. Setting up a flower garden would be a great idea. Make visits to parks and wildlife centers. If there is anything to do with nature, Africa got you sorted. Think of the flamingos on Lake Nakuru and the impenetrable mountain gorillas.

3. GET A PERSON THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS TALK TO

A breakup could be fatal, but loneliness is lethal. A divorce will create a void in you that will be filled with loneliness. Loneliness will make you feel deserted hence depression. Depression victims have reportedly been known for taking extremely wrong decisions. One way of avoiding depression is having people around you. If you didn’t know, depression is an incognito serial killer. Sometimes you do not need someone to help you or comfort you. All you need is someone willing to listen to you. Someone who won’t judge you.

4. ATTEND YOGA SESSIONS

And yoga time to your schedule is one way healthier lifestyle. With a healthy mind, it will be easy for you to contemplate every matter that crosses your mind thus leaving less room for unhealthy and wrong decisions.

The simple formula is,

YOGA = A HEALTHY BODY.

A HEALTHY BODY = A HEALTHY MIND

A HEALTHY MIND = SUPERB DECISIONS

5. MEDITATION IS KEY

Meditation helps you loosen up hence a fresher mind which is key to coping with new environments. Set aside 30 minutes of meditation each day.

6. YOUR DREAMS AREN’T STITCHED TO ANYTHING OR ANYONE

Don’t make the mistake of holding onto the past. accept the truth that you are going through a breakup and live by it cause acceptance is key. After accepting, let go of all those monochrome memories. If you could sign the divorce papers, it means you can live without them and you still shine. Your dreams or goals are not stitched to anything or anybody.
