There are many minor inconveniences that could be solved with simple inventions like these.

Hourglass Traffic Lights

This invention would display an hourglass on traffic lights to show how much longer the light will be that color. This would help drivers to know if it it is worth it to stop at a light, and how much longer they'd have to wait at a red light. As someone who has seen a broken traffic light stuck at red without the ability to change, I personally have been very paranoid that every red light that takes a little longer than normal is broken. If it had been like this, the hourglass wouldn't move and the traffic that the broken light created wouldn't have existed. These lights would be very beneficial for drivers everywhere to help with timing and patience.

Toothpaste Tube Squeezer

Yes, I know that these already exist and being sold. But, I feel like there are people who don't know that these exist. To get as much toothpaste out of the bottle, these squeezers make sure that every bit of toothpaste gets used. This allows people to get more use out of their toothpaste than if they could't get the rest out of the bottle and tossed the extra remainder away.

Mirror Wiper

This invention acts as like a windshield wiper, but for your window after a hot shower. It won't streak the mirror and wipes it cleanly and smoothly.

A Piggy Bank Tracker

This invention is very handy for tracking the amount of money that you've put into the piggy bank. Super helpful if you're saving your coins to reach a specific goal especially.

An Insect Force Field

This invention would be great for preventing mosquito bites and other bugs that do nothing but cause annoyance. This invention would help immensely, and I'm sure it would be a very successful tool.

Straws that Filter Water

As seen in the image above, this has been made by LifeStraw. This smart invention needs more attention so that people could drink water and be 100% that it is pure and clean. This straw would help filter water for those who struggle to find clean water. As seen in the image, this person can drink from a creek with this straw.

A way for Air Pollution to be turned into Ink

This invention turns air pollution into ink, therefore reducing the amount of pollution and reusing it for something helpful and needed.

A Plastic Eating Enzyme

With an abundance of plastic in the ocean that kills the sealife, an enzyme that eats plastic could lessen the amount of plastic within the water. Less plastic means saving the fish and underwater ecosystems that were ruined by excess plastic use.

Boots for Short People

Boots like these could make it easier for short people to reach things they'd usually have to climb, get a step stool, or ask someone for help to get to. Even if a step stool would be the same amount of work to get than putting on the boots, the boots make it more fun and will help the user to move around more if needed.

The Fizz Pill

Image from graphicriver.net

This would be something to put in a flat soda that is missing it's carbonation. By adding this to the flat drink, the carbonation would be added and therefore giving the drink it's original flavor.

Those are just a few of the many much needed inventions of our time.
