Welcome to the course, glad you're taking the time to read what I am about to share with you. This has been a life-changing hustle that has generated almost $1000 of additional side income and you can achieve this too with the tips I will share with you in this platform.

Overview

I started my Mercari account 2018 November, made my first sale on November 6th and since then I've been able to make about $10,000 in sales with over 130+ confirmed sales. The best part about this is it took hardly any effort. You won't need to spend no more than an hour a day, 5 times a week to be able to replicate what I achieved.

So if you put in more effort than me, who knows how much you can make! I will be giving you all the tips and knowledge to help you make your first sales and scale it to where you have a profitable side hustle going.

Account Creation

First we need to create an account. You can use your web browser to do this but I HIGHLY recommend you use a smartphone (iPhone/Android) to follow the steps in this course because it makes this process super easy.

You will receive $10 in credit when you make your first purchase on Mercari. It's an affiliate link and it will help me out as well as help you out because you will be able to use the $10 to purchase the product on Mercari and resale it again on the platform (or elsewhere!) More on this later.

Items to Sell

You can basically sell anything short of illegal substance such as drugs, FDA restricted items such as food, homemade food, food supplements, vitamins, diet products, muscle enhancers, home remedies, homemade cosmetics, and products that offer “miracle” cures. You also can't sell any tobacco / alcohol related products.

Now that we briefly went over what we can't sell, here are the list of items/categories that I've sold for my side hustle.

1. Clothes

I've sold plenty of clothes, apparels and accessories that I owned in the past or bought for resale and I can tell you this has been my number one money maker by far. Now I would avoid using Mercari to sell designer / super expensive stuff but its great for thrifted items or clothes that's just sitting in your closet that you are trying to get rid of.

2. Electronics (Cell-Phones)

This is an absolute goldmine that not a lot of people know about but you can make an absolute killing just focusing on selling Cell-Phones if you do it right. I will be providing you with exclusive tutorials that will help you make your first sale on cell phones.

3. Sneakers

This may seem like it would fall on the category of clothes if you're not knowledgeable but the truth is this deserves to be on a category of its own. Sneaker community is huge and I've made a killing flipping sneakers. Now I will say on Mercari.

I would avoid selling certain hype shoes such as Adidas and Nike because there are better well respected Apps (such as GOAT and StockX) You can sell on and unfortunately there are a lot of fake sneakers going around on Mercari and there is no "Expert Authenticator" that will determine for you whether or not the product you're getting is real so therefore you must approach with caution.

However this doesn't mean you can't sell other type of sneakers and shoes, I will be discussing all the types of shoes you can sell on Mercari on my future tutorials so stay tuned.

4. Whatever it's in your House

This is basically the best way to get started. What better way to source products from something that's already in your house? This is how I got started and in fact this is how most people get started on their flipping journey. My first ever sale was a bluetooth speaker for $25. As long as the product meets the guideline, you can sell them on Mercari. (Refer to my section on "Items to Sell" on things to avoid when listing your first product.)
