If you use a landline, cable TV or internet services then you must have complaints regarding them from time to time. Calling customer care executives and being put on hold for hours together is not a pleasant experience for anyone. So, how do you make yourself heard?

Telecom businesses have been updating themselves and using new age technology to bridge the gap between the customers and the service providers.

Here are the latest ways you can lodge a complaint if you are having any kind of issues with your landline, cable TV or internet services.

Making Your Complaints Through Social Media

Social media websites are truly the most powerful ways to connect people in these times. So, the telecom industry too has adapted and started using this tool to reach their customers and for their customers to reach them. You can lodge your complaints by getting in touch directly with the business page of Sky complaints or you can even mention them in your tweet stating the issue you are facing.

Lodging A Complaint Through A Live Chat Box

Live chat boxes are becoming an increasingly popular way to lodge your complaints. Most telecom services have a live chat box option on their website where you can state your complaint or query in writing. This is a very fast way to get yourself heard as all you have to do is type in your issue and you get immediate responses about how to solve them. If you are not happy with the resolution then you can opt for a call where you can interact with a customer care executive and share your issue with them.

Speaking Directly to A Customer Service Executive

Telecom businesses list their helpline numbers on their website. These numbers are generally toll-free but they mention specific timings for when the customer service executive will be available. Some may be available 24 hours a day like the BT complaints. If they have mentioned working hours then make sure to call between the specified times and you must be able to speak to a customer service executive who can help you with your issue.

Lodging A Complaint Through A Postal Address

The old school methods of lodging complaints are also available for those who wish to go that way. You can write in the complaints you are facing with your telecom service provider by addressing the letter to their correspondence centre. You can get the address of the correspondence centre from the website of your telecom service provider.

Other Ways to Make Your Complaint Heard

If you are not happy with any of these methods of problem solving and want to take stricter action then you can lodge a complaint with the CISAS. It is an impartial body that gives judgements on issues that customers are having with their telecom service providers. You can lodge a complaint with them and if they find that the service provider is at fault then the CISAS will ask the service provider to pay you. The judgement given by the CISAS is final in such cases and service providers have no option but to pay up if they are found to be at fault. This is the last step you can take if all the other ways to get your complaint heard has failed or you are not happy with the solution and the service provider refuses to do anything about it.

To Conclude

Telecom services have almost become essential nowadays with everything moving online. Issues with internet, cable TV or phone connectivity can be a cause of worry for many people. So, it is great to see telecom service providers taking steps to improve their service and be more accessible to their customers. Employing new age technologies while retaining the old ones is a good way of reaching people of all demographics and keeping up with the changing times.
