The bathroom must be a small sanctuary where we relax, so we must not neglect its arrangement or the creation of the most pleasant conditions, no matter how small the space.

We all want to have baths that smell great, but commercial air fresheners have a big disadvantage: most spray the perfume, just for us to inhale those chemicals. Fortunately, it is not the only way to make the bathroom smell pleasant, but you can prepare natural bath air fresheners yourself at home.

Here's how to make them from homemade ingredients!

Natural bath air freshener

Due to the pipes in which bacteria accumulate, the bathroom often has an unpleasant odor, especially if you do not have time to wash it every few days.

This odor permeates all objects and is very difficult to remove, and we often use air fresheners to create a more pleasant atmosphere. Natural bath air fresheners are strong enough to cover all unpleasant odors and keep you away from chemical vapors that over time damage your lungs.

Bath air freshener with essential oil

Essential oils have a pleasant, long-lasting odor and effectively cover all odors in the bathroom. In addition, they also have antibacterial properties and fight against microorganisms when applied to a surface.

Ingredients:

How can you contribute without much effort

  • 10 drops of lemongrass essential oil;
  • 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil;
  • 10 drops of bergamot essential oil;
  • 250 ml of water;
  • a spray bottle.

Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl and pour the composition into the spray bottle, then apply the natural air freshener on the bathroom surfaces and in the toilet bowl after each use. You will notice how the bathroom gets a very pleasant smell!

Bath air freshener with white vinegar

Vinegar is one of the natural ingredients that can be used successfully in cleaning the house, but also as a deodorant because it neutralizes unpleasant odors.

In the bathroom, it disinfects, not only covers odors, so it can be used simply to wash various surfaces, including grout or tile joints.

Ingredients:

  • 750 ml white vinegar;
  • 250 ml of water;
  • a spray bottle.

Mix the ingredients in a bowl, then pour them into the spray bottle and apply the air freshener inside the toilet bowl, rubbing well with a brush or sponge. Use this natural product to neutralize unpleasant odors immediately after using the toilet.

This solution works very well in combination with the previous one: first, disinfect with vinegar, then spray a little air freshener with essential oils, for a pleasant smell.

Lemon scent

Lemons contain natural oils and citric acid, which quickly eliminate unpleasant odors. This natural bath air freshener is very easy to obtain, and to make it more concentrated, you can boil the lemons in water for a few minutes.

Ingredients:

  • peels of 5 fresh lemons;
  • lemon juice;
  • 250 ml of water.

Put the peels and lemon juice in the water, boil the mixture for about 5 minutes, then put the kettle in the bath, so that the vapors clean the air and produce a pleasant smell.

Vanilla scent

The smell of vanilla is one of the best solutions if you want to get rid of unpleasant odors in the bathroom. If you use this natural and easy-to-make bath air freshener, the air will be much fresher.

Ingredients:

  • a tablespoon of vanilla essence (10 ml);
  • cinnamon sticks.

Put the vanilla essence and cinnamon sticks on a plate and place them in a corner of the bathroom. Renew the air freshener every few days to keep the pleasant aroma fresh.

It is very easy to make a natural bath air freshener, which costs much less than any commercial product.

But don't forget that it is very important to clean the bathroom at least once a week, in order to disinfect the place as well as possible. The accumulation of bacteria can cause unpleasant odors, but it is also very dangerous for health!
