How To Have a Productive Day

This is my take on it.

Most days I’m up by 4:30am or should I say on workdays. I’m an early riser by nature, I’m always up early even on my off days. It's just something that my body is accustomed to. I have always enjoyed getting up early, I don't know, it's just my thing.

I believe the earlier the better, if I’m the first one up I can have a few hours of me time, some quite time, a time of peace and tranquility. Personal time without distractions. I have decided to share my personal thoughts on how to have a productive day.

We are all different and we all live different lives, these are the things that work for me and maybe something in my story will work for you. Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas. As I am always open to your comments.

Of course, at the top of my list is to wake up early. I believe waking up early is a beautiful thing. You have time to think about your day and the things that you need to focus on for the day.

Collect your thoughts and think about what you need to do for the day. If you are anything like me, you will create a list of your plans and to-dos for the day. I keep a little notebook or planner with me to jot down my reminders. I enjoy making to-do lists and keeping notes in my phone. It keeps me on task and more than likely I won't forget anything.

Once I have taken care of my plans and to-dos by now, I’m up dressed and out the door to work. I love to arrive to work about 15–30 minutes early each morning because only a few people are there at this time and I can get myself ready for the day. I listen to my praise and worship music every morning while I’m prepping or setting up my work for the day.

I have a warm cup of coffee or tea most mornings, its nothing better than a nice warm drink in the mornings to get your creativity flowing. Water is a good idea too, we can all relate to staying hydrated throughout the day, right?

After I have made it through my workday I’m back home, now it's time to take a nice, long and relaxing bath. I love hot bubble baths. I listen to podcasts or YouTube videos and relax. This is some much needed me time. Time to relax and unwind.

After my relaxing bath now, it is time to work on my own personal business. I’m writing and doing things for me; this is some more me time and business things. Now I’m reflecting on my day, thinking about everything that was accomplished and what needs to be done tomorrow.

Now it is time to recharge, refresh and renew, time to unplug and get some shut eye. Getting ourselves rested up for the next day is important because we can't pour from an empty cup. Meaning we can't be productive without the proper rest.

In Conclusion

I’m pretty sure we all have our own take on what constitutes a productive day, but this is just my take on it. This is pretty much what my day looks like most days, on a normal day that is. I hope this helps someone and gives you all some ideas to increase your daily productivity.
