Are you feeling a little down about your home lately? Maybe it just feels a little too stuffy and cluttered. Or maybe you're looking for a way to make some changes, but don't want to go through the hassle of doing a full remodel.

If that's the case, let's look at 5 tips for freshening up your home without doing much!

Whether you're just looking for a quick fix or you're gearing up for a more long-term transformation, these cleaning tips will help get the job done. You'll be surprised by how much of a difference just a few small changes can make. So what are you waiting for?

1. Do a Quick 5 Minute Clean Up

I used to be one of those people who would let the house get cluttered until it became overwhelming. I would then spend an entire day cleaning and organizing everything, which always felt like a huge waste of time.

Recently, I've been trying to do a quick five minute clean up every day instead. This has helped me stay on top of messes and make sure that my home always feels clean.

For example, I will set the timer on my phone and make sure that I spend no more than five minutes per day tidying up the kitchen or doing a quick cleaning hack in the bathroom. By breaking it down like this, I'm able to avoid getting discouraged by big sweeping projects and still keep my home looking nice.

2. Do One Load of Laundry

I never used to understand how people could let their laundry pile up for weeks at a time. I mean, it's just one load of laundry, how hard can it be?

Turns out, it's actually really hard to keep up with laundry when you have a full-time job and other commitments. And before I knew it, I would find myself with a huge pile of laundry that needed to be done.

Now, I make sure to do at least one load of laundry every day. This has helped me stay on top of my laundry and avoid those overwhelming piles. Every morning after I wake up I will throw in just a single load. This takes five or ten minutes and is much more manageable than trying to do it all at once.

3. Dust and Vacuum Furniture and Floors

This is another quick and easy way to have a freshen up home. I like to do this every other day, or at least once a week.

I start by dusting all of the surfaces in my living room, including the end tables, television stand, and coffee table. Then I move on to vacuuming the floors and furniture.

The basic principle behind dusting and vacuuming is to remove as much dirt, dust, and other particles from your home as possible. This helps make your space feel fresher and cleaner, even if you're not necessarily doing anything else that would be considered a "deep clean."

4. Open Up the Windows

One of the best ways to make your home feel fresh and new is to let in some natural sunlight.

All winter we seal up our windows and I can't wait until the ground melts and I can open up my windows.

When the weather allows, I like to open up all of my windows and doors. This helps bring in clean air, letting stale air out and fresher air in.

I will also take any opportunity that I can to turn on my ceiling fans or use a fan that is plugged in near an open window. This helps circulate the air and remove any lingering odor from cooking, if necessary.

5. Add Plants to Freshen Up Your Home

Adding potted plants to your home is one of the best ways to make it feel fresher and more natural. Not only do they look nice, but they also help purify the air by filtering out toxins and other impurities.

Depending on the size of your home and the types of plants that you have, you may need to water them daily or weekly. But other than that, they are relatively low maintenance and can make a big difference in the overall atmosphere of your space.

My favorite house plants are spider plants, succulents, and cacti. I like to keep them in my living room, near the windows, where they can get plenty of sunlight and fresh air. And the beauty and tranquility that they add to my home is truly priceless.

So there you have it! Five simple ways to make your home feel cleaner and fresher, without having to do a big, sweeping clean. These are all things that can be done on a regular basis, so that you never have to worry about your home looking or feeling dirty.

I hope you find these tips helpful and that they help!
