If you’re anything like me, you live your life based on your weekly horoscope reading, and make no major life decisions without first consulting the stars. Whether they’re legit or not, astrology can be addictive. It claims to have so much association with your life—from big trends in your love life to small decisions in how you decorate your home.

And if you’re a naturally indecisive person, horoscopes can be an amazing resource to avoid the stress of making selections. Especially when it comes to decorating your home, there are a lot of different factors that must be considered, and different directions to go in. That’s where astrology can come in to help.

Cancers and Aries Should Go for a House in the Suburbs

While Geminis may prefer to be beachside, and Tauruses would opt for a log cabin in the woods, when it comes to location, Cancers and Aries want the most traditional living situation. Likely surrounded by a white picket fence, and housing two happy children, a house in the suburbs is the most popular housing arrangement for these loyal and dedicated signs.

The least popular house option is “a refurbished Airstream attached to a pickup truck,” though if any sign is to opt for this it would be an Aquarius or Pisces—two signs that are most open to adventure and travel.

Clean Once a Week—Unless You’re a Sagittarius

Across the board, zodiac signs agree that organization is key to maintaining the house, and your own happiness—with one exception, that is. A Sagittarius believes it’s only important to “keep the clutter to a minimum,” unlike Virgos who appear to be the most type A.

For all star signs other than Sagittarius, it may be a good idea to turn to a new method of house cleaning in order to declutter. A new technique taking the internet by storm is the very drastic, and effective Marie Kondo method. The goal here is to improve your mood by getting rid of any, and everything that doesn’t ‘spark joy’. It’s based on a Netflix series, but is said to have some serious impact, especially for people like Virgos who love to clean.

What Vibe Will Lead Your Decorating?

All signs agree that they strive for a ‘welcoming’ vibe when decorating their home. This leaves a good impression, and allows for guests to feel comfortable when visiting. However, if you’re looking to branch out, there are several options.

Capricorns are likely to search for ‘zen’ or ‘cool’ vibes. This Earth sign should opt for low lighting, clean lines, and natural decor. Similarly, Leos are most likely to select a ‘simple’ vibe. This is a potential tactic to offset the large personality that Leos are infamous for.

Unless you’re a Sagittarius or Cancer, it’s probably safe to avoid a ‘Nomadic’ vibe. This is overall the least popular style of home decor, so no need to start the Pinterest search for wander-lust themed furniture.

Once you’ve decided what theme will rule your home, let the fun begin! From furniture shopping to DIY crafting, you can spend endless time in order to make your home HGTV-worthy. No matter what star sign you identify with, interior design can be in your future. With the help of astrology, and social media, your limits on making your home perfect for you are literally endless! Be sure to share your finished product with the world, and maybe you could be the next home design influencer.
