As every year is a great chance for change and upgrades, the world of design takes off to another year of creativity. Hues, tones, colours and patterns create a big fuss in the later years and are continuously a huge part of today's trends. Interior designers and trend experts are more than ecstatic to jump on the latest design train to try it on.

Houzz, a reputable home remodelling site recently featured six stylish home design ideas of 2020 that make the cut for their Houzz awards. Each design highlighted new creative ideas and smart combinations that spoke of uniqueness and individuality.

So for those who look forward to their remodelling plans and renovations, we compiled an amazing list of design ideas for you. Check the list below.

Trend 1: Built in furniture

There is no way that people will get over with everything built in, at least not too soon. Its space-saving feature is one of the things that most people love about, not to mention, the minimalist vibes it gives. From the most applauded built in wardrobes Sydney, built in seating is now a huge thing! Long, narrow, and short spaces in your house can turn into long built in benches for short naps or reading time. It would be best built with windows behind or anywhere near the source of lighting. Not only is it cosy but also adds character into a room.

Trend 2: Cosy and simple bedroom

As it should be one of the most peaceful places in your house, your bedroom should be as organised as possible. What's better than to get a good rest in your safe haven? To do this, less furniture and clutter should be maintained. A few floating or wall-mounted racks are good, a bed in the middle, a walk in wardrobes Sydney with a full-body mirror on the other end of it, few paintings, a bookshelf, bean bag and a night lamp. If this isn't cosy enough for you, just add your choice of beddings and curtains to bring more character into your own space. But with these few furniture and displays in your room, you're already saving a good enough space to not make it look too overcrowded and just comfortable enough to rest.

Trend 3: Coloured kitchens

Our traditional white-coloured kitchen is officially out of the trend this year. Coloured ones are the new way to go! Pastel colours are highly recommended especially for homeowners who love bright colours. Wood-themed kitchen and rustic is still in. All while the classic blue is the Pantone's colour of the year, dusty green is gaining more popularity, especially in the kitchen. Still, you can choose to experiment on the colours that show more of your character, as long as it's not white.

Trend 4: Indoor gardens

As more and more homeowners enjoy gardening and prefer owning a plant or two, the existence of indoor gardens become more popular. Green thumbs are happy with this improvement as they can manage their small garden in the comfort of their home. Interior designers emphasised that these indoor gardens are best placed in the area of the house with abundant sunlight.

As long as it's a comfortable home

Your home, your rules. This list of trends for the design of your home is just ideas that you might want to incorporate for your remodelling or renovation plans. However, the choice still remains in your hands. Just like they say, as long as it's a comfortable home to live in.
