Do you have studious kids who are always studying and spread everywhere in the house? Do you Work from Home, as if it isn’t a trend? Do you have special and important guests to host every week and you want to impress them, of course? If yes, what would you prefer first hand?

Lighting, of course. Lighting plays a very crucial role when it comes to uplifting all those home décor accessories such as lamps, ceiling fans, wall paintings, carpets, etc. Today, I will be guiding you a bit on the type of lighting required in each room of your home but, if you already know all this and are setting up your newly renovated home with all those accessories, then finding the right marketplace to shop is a must, or if you are a seller or home décor expert looking to sell your items, boom out to this selling alternative to eBay.

THE LIVING ROOM: This is the room for your guests. You do not need huge lights here. Set up such lighting which looks beautiful both on and off. Use a table lamp by the sofa and keep most of these dim so as to provide background support for one main light which can be a fancy pendant light hanging from the fan.

THE DINING ROOM: You eat here. So, the main attraction of the room is the food itself. Therefore, just like the case above, you may use a fan with lights attached, right over the table. Angle lamps are best used here. With the fan light giving the focus, the angles highlight the other parts of the room.

THE BEDROOM: this is the room where you want both comfort and ambiance. You need nightshades or floor lamps if you are reading out bedtime stories to your kids otherwise, if you are a night owl, having bedside lamps is a must that you can switch on and off from within your blanket. Designer lamps on adjacent walls across the bed or Pendant lights over the bed deal magic.

THE KITCHEN: Set up a spotlight at the top of the workspace such that it creates no shadows. Use LED tape in the back of the shelves to create softer, more subtle lighting that does not directly grab all the attention.

THE STUDY: you write, read, sing, dance, and do almost anything decent here. Thus, having an impressionable pendant light or a corner lamp with some chandeliers spread over the Bonsai. The lighting required here is not very bright such that it glares when it falls on pages of books and diaries. Use a lampshade to dull any such lighting if you do not want to get one for the purpose.

THE BATHROOM: nothing extraordinary here. Most of us close our eyes during the process giving impetus to the imagination and creative thinking. Just keep in mind that what you need here is something between somewhat bright and dim light. You do not want to notice each and every detail but also you definitely don’t want to slip over the soap.

Ta-Da! Now you are all set to make the right purchase among a flood of useful things in a single place. To know more about such stuff as this, follow this blog like a spy.

Happy lighting!
