House flowers can brighten the atmosphere and oxygen the rooms, so you should not overlook the decoration of the house in this way, especially if you want to always be relaxed and feel really at home.

However, it is not always easy to find time to take care of plants, especially if you spend a lot of time at work or if you have a large family. That's why we thought we'd come up with some tips on flowers that don't require much attention.

Here are some flowers and houseplants that are easy to maintain!

Easy to maintain decorative plants

Aloe vera

This plant with medicinal and cosmetic properties can be easily recognized thanks to its elongated, lanceolate leaves, which have spikes on the edge.

If you want to enjoy Aloe, all you have to do is put it in the window, be careful not to water it too often, and keep a relatively constant temperature of 24 degrees Celsius in the room.

Anthurium

This plant has colorful flowers in vivid shades of red, purple, and pink, but also in delicate shades of white and green. As they have a lifespan of up to eight weeks, Anthurium is the right plant for you, if you like to have the apartment decorated with natural flowers.

However, the latter contains a toxic substance, so it is a good idea to keep the pot away from pets and small family members.

To enjoy Anthurium all year round, you must provide it with sufficient light, soil with medium humidity, and a temperature of not less than 18 degrees Celsius, but not exceeding, at the same time, the value of 27 degrees Celsius.

Spathiphyllum wallisii

Spathiphyllum wallisii or Peace Lily is also an easy-to-maintain houseplant. The leaves are intense green, have a lanceolate shape and a shiny appearance, and the flowers are white and give off a delicate scent.

The peace lily withstands temperatures between 12 and 26 degrees Celsius, in summer it loves heat and humidity, and in winter, it needs soil with medium humidity.

Thus, in the cold months, it is enough to water it weekly. Instead, in the summer season, especially on hot days, it is advisable to spray water on the leaves, not just pour into pots.

Sansevieria trifasciata

Sansevieria trifasciata or mother-in-law's tongue is another unpretentious plant whose exotic aspect you can enjoy without worrying too much about its maintenance.

The mother-in-law's tongue has left in the shape of long swords, being variously colored, in alternative shades from dark green to white-yellow. If you want to enjoy its flowers, you have to keep them by the light, by a window. The flowers are arranged in a cluster and are light green.

Regarding the humidity of the soil in which this plant lives, it is advisable not to put too much water, because you risk that the leaves will rot. At the same time, the temperature in the room that Sansevieria trifasciata decorates should be in the range of 18–26 degrees Celsius.

Schlumbergera buckleyi

Schlumbergera buckeye is popularly known as the Christmas Cactus. This plant can be easily recognized thanks to its leaves lined up one after the other, but also due to the red, purple, pink, or golden flowers.

The Christmas cactus prefers to be placed at the window to receive enough light but does not behave too well at temperatures above 26 degrees Celsius.

As for the amount of water that this houseplant needs, you should know that it is higher than in the case of desert cacti. However, you should not go to the other extreme, as the plant may rot.
