As hard as it may be to believe, most people spend hours on end, in a bathroom. To put it in perspective, you are bound to spend an average of thirty minutes each day, and given that, wouldn’t you want to get it renovated first, before moving on to the other areas of your home? And in case you are bugging out, imagining the expense of renovating it, here are a few budget-friendly tips, designed to help you do just that. Check out these tips and you should be able to renovate it and keep the expenses down, in the process.

Jazz up those boring walls: When it comes to bathroom remodeling in Alberquerque, the first thing that you need to do is to hire a reputable contractor. Most bathrooms have white or pale tiles on the walls and granted, it is bound to strike you first as you enter the room. So get those boring pale walls, jazzed up a little. There’s no golden rule that states that bathroom tiles are untouchable or that you should not add a bright color to them. So get those walls redone, in a design pattern that you are comfy with along with great colors. Communicate the same to the contractor perfectly so that he understands your directions and carries them out.

Get a new mirror: A mirror often makes a bold statement, chances are that your old mirror would be grimy and rusty as well. It’s time to get it changed to something smarter, that provides the whole room with a ‘wow’ factor. Think in terms of an accent mirror and that should do it. And while you are at it, make sure that the new mirror tends to come in a usual shape - that is, rather than the usual rectangular frame.

Art deco is a must: Chances are that you may have come across some flea markets, with unique art posters and even prints of modern paintings. By using these prints and reproductions on the wall, you are adding a fresh dab of color to the whole room. And remember to hang these posters or re-prints away from the shower area, since most would not be water-resistant. Make sure that you wipe off any water that gets onto these posters right away.

Go for wrought Iron shelves: One of the neat tricks in making your bathroom look larger is by adding a few wrought-iron shelves. The good thing is that these shelves, specially painted in black, tend to go with most furniture. And adding these shelves is a ‘chic’ touch, one that most bathrooms often miss out on. More than that, you can add these shelves in most corners of the room, either next to the washbasin, or adjoining the shower area. But the point is that adding a few shelves in the room should make it appear larger.

Add slime greenery: This may sound a tad controversial to some but if you were to add a few potted plants to the mix, it should make your bathroom stand out. And let's face it, most people have potted plants on their balconies and promptly forget to water them. Having a few in your bathroom should make it super easy to water them and adding a splash of green should certainly add to the aesthetic beauty of the room itself.

Go for neat shower curtains: It’s time to get rid of that old curtain and go for new ones. Make sure that you get it in a complementary color, that matches the room. Just make sure that you pick out one in your favorite shade and it would make a huge difference.

These are a few handy tips by which you can spruce up your bathroom in no time at all.
