Cozy Home

Cosy home - this concept has both a spiritual and a material component and is largely based on psycho-emotional perception. Sometimes, when thinking about comfort in the house, these components are intricately intertwined, creating a unique pattern of thoughts.

In order to make your home more comfortable, it is not necessary to make design repairs and change all the furniture to new ones. It is enough to plan everything correctly, arrange, update and add a few details. Even with a minimal budget, you can achieve a noticeable result by following these simple tips:

1. Choose the same style for each room

When you try to implement everything at once, the result is nothing. You cannot equip a bedroom in the style of minimalism, but at the same time paste over the walls with posters, because this destroys the overall picture. It is clear that without the help of a designer, the whole apartment cannot be altered to fit one style, but you can at least stick to it within one separate room. For example, in the kitchen, do everything in an eco-style, equip the windowsill with plants, add wooden elements, etc. In the bathroom - observe the now popular minimalism, and in the bedroom boho style.

2. Remove all unnecessary and develop a plan

In order to make everything possible, you need to remove elements that do not fit into the chosen style. They can be hidden, rearranged, or replaced. And to decide what, how and where - make a plan. So you can understand how to equip the space so that each thing is in its place, as well as what parts need to be purchased. According to this plan, you can make a budget and change the style of rooms gradually, arranging comfort to your liking.

3. What to change in the bedroom?

There is no need for minimalism in the bedroom, so there is a place where fantasies can roam. You can add lighting: night lights or small lanterns above the bed. Make a curtain that separates the bed from the rest of the room and protects you from the morning light. Lay a bright blanket that will stand out against the background of the bed. It may be worth replacing the blanket with a new one or for the season. What you sleep on also plays an important role - purchasing a new mattress will be an excellent solution in the course of decorating your bedroom. You cannot neglect such a factor as an old pillow, we recommend buying new comfortable pillows, there is also an opportunity to bring a little nature into the bedroom interior - get pillows filled with natural materials, i.e. buckwheat pillows or pillows with coffee wrap. And, of course, do not forget about the classics - feather pillows. Finally, you can add some decorative pillows.

4. What to change in the bathroom?

The first thing that spoils the look of the bathroom is a bunch of bottles, boxes and tubes that lie in the bathtub, on the sink and in general everywhere. What to do about it? Buy a shelf and attach it under the sink or above the tub. So the shelf will not take away the extra space, and there will be where to hide all these little things. And instead of them, you can put a beautiful glass for toothbrushes, massive scented candles and some kind of jewellery. A solid-coloured bath curtain and a new rug will also help make this room more stylish.

5. What to change in the kitchen?

A kitchen is a place where everything is chaotic most of the time. Therefore, the field for changes is wide enough. Purchase new containers for cereals to free up space from unnecessary bags. Remove utensils that no one uses. Add light above the work surfaces for easier cooking. Lay a plain tablecloth in an interesting colour and hang a few pictures. These colour accents will help to highlight a certain style among many details. And the magnets that hang on the fridge can be supplemented with photos from your vacations.

6. What to change in the living room?

Usually, the problem in the living room is the wrong arrangement of things. A sofa against the wall, armchairs on the sides, a wardrobe in the corner and an old half-empty sideboard can drive anyone into despondency. What to do about it? Place the sofa in the centre of the room, place around a few cosy bean bags. Put a small table with magazines in the centre and lay a bright rug.

7. Plants and flowers

Vases can be put not only in the living room but also in almost every room. The main thing is to arrange them correctly. Choose unpretentious plants so that they do not take a lot of time for you to care. They should be placed not in a row on the windowsill, but chaotically, supplementing empty spaces, or hiding certain flaws.

8. How to hide flaws?

Speaking of flaws - there are many ways to remove or hide them. This is especially appropriate if you are renting a house or there is simply no opportunity to make repairs and change the furniture in the near future. A small bathroom will be saved by a large mirror, which will visually increase the space. Old wallpapers or ugly patterns on them can be hidden with posters, paintings, photographs, drawings. Old kitchen furniture can be renovated with adhesive paper. It is sold in special household stores, and you can always choose the colour you want. Textiles can also help make the old room feel more comfortable. An ugly sofa can be decorated with a bright blanket, and armchairs - with decorative pillows. Simple dining table - will become more interesting with an unusual tablecloth.

Conclusion

To want to return home, you need to create a calm and comfortable environment. The cosy atmosphere is made up of many details. The right colour palette and the right style will make a cold design warmer and more peaceful. Regular maintenance of order will preserve the tone of the interior.
