Acceptance Paves the Way to a Better Life

You cannot always get everything you wish for, even if you try your hardest.

Life is a process. It cannot be segregated into black and white.

Life’s beauty lies in between, or actually lives in a grey zone.

Life is not perfect. It is not always the case that life yields the fruits we wish for, aim for or look for.

We laugh, and we cry; we walk through seasons of happiness and sorrow.

At times we are angry, and at other times we are generous and forgiving.

Failure introduces shadows or darker tones that provide depth, while success brings warmth and brightness in life.

The dark tones in life’s journey allow the bright ones to shine more vividly.

In fact, it is the interplay of dark and bright that creates a rich, dynamic, and realistic picture of life.

You may feel sad now because you failed to achieve something you were trying for, or because you tried hard but were unsuccessful.

This might have happened repeatedly.

Still, never give up — keep trying!

One day, success will come, and you will shine.

These are all parts of life’s process.

No one can be happy forever, just as sadness and failure are not permanent.

Everything in life is temporary, and so is your situation.

You are sad because your loved ones are far away.

Or you are heartbroken.

Or you have been cheated.

But you are not alone. Almost everyone goes through such a phase. Perhaps a lucky few are spared, but they are rare.

You may sometimes think about giving up.

Wait, don’t give up.

This applies to the life of every human individual.

You may feel that all the negative or bizarre things are happening to you or around you, but that is not true.

From a distance, we don’t see things clearly. Or they are even invisible.

When we zoom in, reality comes into focus.

The reality is that every society faces a problem.

Every individual needs to confront difficulties in their surroundings.

We may not like the behaviour of our friends, co-workers, relatives or others, and they may feel the same about us.

We do not always like one another’s styles or behaviours.

We need to accept the reality of our society and our world. We often judge others, but keep our eyes closed to ourselves, unaware of whether our own behaviour hurts others or appears odd to them.

In conclusion, we live in an imperfect society. Just as no human being is perfect.

Still, isolation is not an option; we must learn to live with one another.

Therefore, acceptance is the key to a better life, and we must cultivate the ability to live with imperfection.

When we act or perform, we make mistakes. Errors are inevitable. What matters is accepting them and committing to improvement.

Step by step, we become better, not perfect, but better than our earlier selves.

I am what I am; I cannot be another.

Therefore, if you want to live with me, you need to accept me. Or at least be willing to accommodate and cooperate with me.

In this way, we can live our lives more effectively. These skills pave the way to a happier and more fulfilling life.

Living life is, in fact, a learning process.

Learning is a never-ending process. We continue to learn until the day we die.

What is the ultimate goal of our life? Everybody has an obvious question.

I don’t have a concrete answer.

I simply want to live for today.

The present is the most important phase; I do not worry about my future, nor do I regret my past.

In the past, I tried to do my best. I am sufficiently happy and satisfied with what I achieved, in terms of wealth, career and degree.

I do not blame anyone for my misfortune and failures.

I explored many good possibilities, and I also missed valuable opportunities. But I do not blame anyone else; those choices were mine.

I failed to reach some of the goals I wanted, but I realise that I have limitations in my abilities.

In fact, everyone has limitations. You cannot always get everything you wish for, even if you try your hardest.

Sometimes, you may be rewarded with something you never expected.

We often call it luck or fortune, but in reality, it is a coincidence.

Sometimes it happens, yet even if you face the same situation again, or perform better, you may not win that particular thing.

I believe the most beautiful thing in life is self-acceptance; embracing who you are, including your dreams, personality, appearance, circumstances, and limitations.

What do you think?
