Nosferatu Mirror from Magick Planet

Many homes have been plagued with uninspired home decor that make their visitors feel warm and welcome. It's time we put an end to the "Live, Laugh, Love" and introduce our visitors to an odder taste of decor. From anatomical pieces to friendly grim reapers, here are a few oddities and stores that will darken up your horrid abode.

“Wednesday, look at all of the other children, their freckles, their bright little eyes, their eager, friendly smiles. Help them.” — Morticia (The Addams Family, 1991, Sonnenfield)

1. Handmade Black Heart Wall Art by DarkMatterOddities

Over 1500 creepers have given DarkMatterOddities praise for their well-crafted work. This detailed anatomical heart sculpture is made of resin and the velvet background with that elegant frame showcases the sculpture beautifully. I don't care how dead inside you are; your heart will flutter once this piece ends up on your wall.

Price: $54 or 4 interest-free payments of $13.50 via Klarna

2. Scary Wall Hand Reaching Candles by Daily3DPainting

An LED candle is included when you order these creepy hands with or without claws. There are five styles and 15 colors to choose from, so you can make sure each hand is tailored to the style you want. This could also be a housewarming gift to those who share your creepy style...and those who don't.

Price: $29-$34 per hand

3. Eye Sculpture Art by FungusGallery

If you need a way to remind your guests that you're watching them, these eye sculptures will be a great addition to your home. The creator calls these handmade works "eyebjects" that come in circular or diamond frames. If you feel you need to buy a left and right eye for symmetry's sake, you can get them as a pair.

Price: $17 (single); $32 (pair)

4. The Black Cat Lady by The ColorFlow

You see, there are two kinds of crazy cat ladies; the ones with 100 cats and the ones who must BECOME a cat. But what's the true story behind this cat lady? You can see the pride in her cat-like eyes for finally reaching her one goal in life and the soul of the first cat she cared for trapped in her pendant. Why not get this strange work and see what stories your guests come up with?

Prices vary depending on size: $11.20-$48.62

5. Claw-Shaped Bookends by NightmareRealm

The seller guarantees that your library will be "spookified" when you buy a set of these claw bookends. I'm sure that's true, but I think we should consider how functional these items are. I would prefer my bookends firmly grip the books in place rather than let them tilt and slip like most bookends.

Price: $20.65

6. Bat Taxidermy by NightmareRealm

Here's another from NightmareRealm! This tiny night baby is preserved in clear lucite. You can still see their little fangs popping out. Taxidermy is an acquired taste, but why not acquire it anyway? If your visitors have the nerve to judge you for it, you can bluff and say, "I could introduce you to my horde of bats instead if you'd like?" Then your tiny bat baby won't seem so scary.

Price: $22.95

7. Black Skull Wall Decor by GAVIA

Several of these items have had an anatomical theme so far, so we might as well add skulls to the mix. These minimalist skull wall hangings appear to protrude from the wall to give your home the "we're lost souls trapped in this home and we can't get out" vibe. The resin-made skulls come in black and are easy to hang up.

If you like these, GAVIA is a small business on Amazon that specializes in so much skull decor. Human skulls, raven skulls, cat skulls, all the skulls as vintage posters, candles, and lamps.

Price: $44.95

8. Nosferatu Mirror - Magick Planet

This mirror is framed with skulls, roses, a bat, and dragons; it has everything needed to make you or a visitor literally reflect on being surrounded by darkness. Inspired by 19th century gothic aesthetic, the Nosferatu Mirror can be propped to stand on a surface or hang on the wall. You can use my code KLeliel for a 5% discount.

Price: $31.84 or 4-interest free payments of $7.96 via afterpay

I hope you find these strange, beautiful items worthy of your creepy home. If you think another odd soul would like these, please share this article with others.

Lovely pictures. Great angle as well. It does not matter what other people think. If you love and take great pride in your own possessions, then that is what matters. Quality (not quantity) is key. There is a lot of responsibility that comes in owning stuff, and hence make it count.
