1. Make your home office "home office"

Offices are usually cold, but you don't want your home office like that. So to make your home office warm, you should use wood desks, leather pads for your mouse, and also place a plant on the desk.

Little things like this will make your home office, Home Office.

2. Build your own desk

Building your own desk may sound like a lot of work, but trust me, it's all worth it and it is actually not a lot of work.

Building your own desk gives you a lot of flexibility.

You can design your desk according to your needs like the length and the width you want.

Ready-made tables don't have such customization options.

Building your own desk is very easy as well.

Just get an IKEA countertop and cut it according to your requirements.

Then attach legs to the countertop and you are good to go.

3. Styling is critical

You want your home office to look great and have its own style

Just like when you design your home, you should also think of how you can style your home office which matches your style.

To do the same, you can apply a wallpaper of your choice behind the countertop to make it look appealing.

You can even hang some quotes that you love and that inspires you.

4. Set up screens right

If your work requires a lot of screen space, then I advise you to use multiple screens.

For example, if you are a content creator and you do video editing, then it is a wise idea to get at least two screens. It will provide a lot of space for you to work.

Also, one of the most important things often forgotten is that you should raise the screens to your eyes.

Not doing so will cause neck pain and back pain.

If you work on a laptop, then put the laptop on a height, raised to your eye level.

You can put your laptop on a stack of books and then attach an external keyboard to it.

Also, there are a lot of laptop stands available in the market which actually look good on your desk and will not mess up the look of your home office.

5. Treat yourself with good stuff

While designing your home office, it is very critical to choose high-quality equipment because you are going to work longer than you may be thinking in your home office.

So get yourself a nice keyboard, mouse, and mouse pad.

Also, keep in mind the styling of your home office while choosing such products.

Nowadays, there are various kinds of mouse pads available that can match your home office style.

Also, there is a lot of variety in the keyboards as well.

Some keyboards come with a lot of additional functionality, like you can adjust the sound from them; and if you are using multiple screens, then you can switch to the screens through your keyboard.

So, if you do heavy work, like video editing, then it is a great idea to get a keyboard with such functionalities.

They may come expensive, but it will increase your productivity and you won't regret it.

6. Always keep a water bottle

When you are working in your home office, you may get completely involved in doing your work.

And you may often forget to drink water, which is very important.

The thing is, most of our body is made up of water, so even a slight drop in the water level in our body can cause fatigue, tiredness, etc. resulting in decreased productivity.

So I highly recommend that you should always keep a water bottle within your reach.

But you should also make sure that the water you are drinking is purely purified by a high-quality water purifier.

If you don't have a water purifier, then check out this list of branded water purifiers with RO filtration.

7. Invest in a good chair

Chair is very critical when it comes to your home office.

I highly recommend you to invest in a good, ergonomic chair.

It doesn't have to be too expensive, but when you are buying the chair, make sure it is a good fit for you.

Buying an ergonomic chair is very critical because if you use any chair, then it may cause back pain, neck pain, etc.
