1. Morning routine

A good morning routine will help you achieve satisfaction as you check off your morning to-do list. Accomplishing small acts like making your bed, doing 1 minute of breathing exercise, doing 1 minute of meditation, or even doing 10 push-ups gives you a sense of success. This will encourage many more successes throughout the day. By snowballing these tiny successes, you will accomplish many objectives today.

2. Nutrition

Do you know that most of your body consists of water? Roughly 60% of you are filled with water. As such, it is essential for you to keep yourself hydrated.

Other than hydration, make sure you eat well. By eating well, I'm not referring to off-the-shelves cereals that are filled with sugar. Get real food like wholemeal bread and oats. If you're feeling slightly more energetic and hungry, include some eggs in your breakfast. Having proper nutrition helps bring energy to your mind and body. You will feel more productive and focused in your work.

3. Movement

Check your steps tracker. Tell me how many steps have you taken so far? I'm sure for 90% of you, the number will be below 5,000. The human body is not meant to have a sedentary lifestyle. Our ancestors moved and exercised a lot to keep themselves fit and to protect themselves from predators, instead of sitting on the couch for 10 hours a day like you are doing now. By moving around, you keep your blood flowing. With blood flowing, your brain gets more oxygen to make you feel better. Work while standing up is better than sitting down, but it will still be better for you to move around once every 30 minutes to keep your mind focused.

4. Environment

Is your environment messy or clean? Check your desk, your room, and even your desktop. Are they pleasing to your eyes? If they are, you're more likely to have a pleasant time working in your area. If you have a messy desk, your mind will be in a cluttered environment too. Clearing your environment has a very positive impact on your mind and thoughts. You will feel more organized and will be able to focus on the tasks on hand.

5. People around you

Do you surround yourself with people who are positive or negative? Research showed that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Surrounding yourself with people who are positive has an influential impact on yourself. You will find yourself looking at a glass half full instead of half empty. By being positive, you will find yourself attracting more positive events.

In contrast, you will find yourself attracting more negative events if you surround yourself with people who are negative. Your subconscious mind will always be on the lookout for events that are negative. You will find yourself looking at a glass half empty instead of half full. Try to avoid these people. Change their perspective of life if you have the ability to do so.

It is simple to have a good day. With the above 5 things to do, you are more likely to be ahead of others in feeling good about yourself and your day. Keeping these habits and practices daily will allow you to feel pleasant and confident in your life.
