Autumn is one of the most wonderful and beautiful seasons for decoration. After all, autumn itself provides us with everything we need. It brings us the bright colors of fallen leaves, all kinds of ripe fruits, and the last flowering plants. Moreover, you even don't have to buy anything to let autumn into your house. Bouquets of autumn leaves, autumn wreaths, small installations of fruits and berries, candles, and garlands can be done without much effort. In this article, we gathered five amazing ways to decorate your house in autumn.

1. Fruits

Tiny apples are often used for decorative purposes because they are light enough to hang from a chandelier on a line and graceful enough to decorate a dining table. Along with miniature apples, any other apples are also suitable for decoration.

You can make autumn compositions from them and combine apples with other seasonal fruits. For example, apples, ripe pears, and pomegranates will look great together as an autumn composition. There are no restrictions on the decor issue, any autumn fruits that you like are suitable for decorations.

2. Chestnuts, acorns, and nuts

When you are walking in an autumn forest or park, you should take a closer look at your step, since you can find the basis for your crafts near your feet. For example, you can make an original napkin ring from cones.

There is also a place for acorns and nuts on the festive table. You can use them in order to decorate a napkin, put in a glass vase, or simply lay out them on a tablecloth in any order. Moreover, you can also dye acorns with gold or silver paint. You can also place nuts or acorns in a glass candlestick and put a large candle in the center.

3. Cereals and pumpkins

Several spikelets of wheat or other cereals (collected in a bouquet) can become a real decoration for the festive table. This interior decor option symbolizes a good harvest and has been used to decorate houses for hundreds of years.

You can also decorate tables, stairs, and entrance ways with pumpkins. They perfectly fit interior ensembles, floral compositions, and wreaths. You can paint or cut patterns on pumpkins. Indeed, it is hard to imagine any autumn composition without a pumpkin.

4. Autumn wreath

A wreath with fruits and bright leaves is a classical decoration that has not gone out of fashion for ages. According to historians, they were considered the main symbol of the harvest season even in Ancient Egypt. Wreaths can be hung on the walls and on large hoods. They can also be used to decorate autumn tables and fireplaces. It is quite easy to create such a wreath because all the necessary materials can be found in the garden or the nearest park.

The first step in creating a beautiful wreath is the base. It is sold in all building hypermarkets, flower shops, or small shops for arts and crafts. You can apply bright leaves, spikelets, acorns, dry apples, or berries on the base and form a wreath. Light elements with long legs can be attached with the help wire, thread, or toothpicks, while small and heavy items should be glued.

5. Leaves

Autumn leaves with their incredible colors are one of the most beautiful and convenient materials for decoration. With the help of two rods, beads, and threads or fishing line, you can make an unusual decoration. If you take thin silk ribbons for embroidery or braid you will easily create a wonderful garland. It is not necessary to use natural leaves for decoration. You can buy artificial leaves in art stores or cut them yourself from suitable thin paper.
