5 Activities to Do in Havana, Cuba

Havana is a vibrant Cuban city. It distinguishes itself from other Caribbean cities with its rustic streets, colorful old vehicles, and vibrant nightlife. Havana exposed me to the Cuban way of life through its rich history, art, music, and dancing.

If you are an American, you must maintain a full-time schedule of activities. With the Assistance for the Cuban People license. That entails learning more about their history. Purchasing handcrafted souvenirs, and admiring the art scene. I ensured that these operations were compliant! Rest certain, as an American citizen, I carried out these operations myself.

1. Vintage American Car

You cannot leave Cuba without driving in a classic American automobile. This is as near to the 1950s as one can get. I propose taking a convertible sightseeing trip so that you may appreciate it. Havana's views while remaining comfortable and cool in your car. Feel the breeze and the rumbling seat! Book a car ride. I also took this tour, which took us through neighborhoods. The Malecon along the bay, a lush forest, and even stopped at Revolution Square for photos.

2. Afro-Cuban Religion Tour

Cuba's African heritage is an essential component of its cultural fabric. African slaves brought music and religion to the Caribbean island. Take an Afro-Cuban Religion Tour to get to know Cuba beyond the tourist traps. The focus is on Santería, a once-disadvantaged religion that is now accepted in Cuban society. Even if you are not religious, this trip will captivate you with the religion's distinctive beliefs, art, and dancing. Salvador Gonzáles Escalona's work depicts Santería. A popular attraction in Havana's Callejon de Hamel Alley.

3. Christ of Havana

The Christ of Havana is one of Havana's most renowned monuments. It watches over the city from atop a hill on the other side of the bay. It is noteworthy for being sculpted by Jilma Madera, a female artist. Come here at sunset for a spectacular view of Old Havana from the bay. It was one of the most breathtaking sites of my Havana trip! The quickest method to get here is by cab.

4. Fusterlandia

José Fuster, a Cuban artist, has developed a permanent art display named Fusterlandia. You can explore a few outdoor floors of this unique, brilliant mosaic fantasy. Fusterlandia contributes to the local community by improving people's living situations via art. The villagers work to care for this beauty. One of my tour companions dubbed this location "the Best Fusterlandia I've ever seen." Because this is the only one you will ever see. The quickest method to get there is by cab.

5. Buena Vista Social Club

Watch the Buena Vista Social Club's tribute performance to bring the night to life. You'll have your fill of upbeat Cuban music, dancing, and singing. This was one of my favorite dinner presentations ever since they allowed the audience to join on stage! I closed the night by dancing on stage with 50 other folks. The cuisine isn't particularly remarkable, but the show is worthwhile.
