And things you should do instead.

Okay, so a lot of us will stay home for some time. Many people are forced to quarantine for 14 days straight, some of us do it voluntarily. But the reason is not important. The coronavirus situation is serious and taking actions like temporary isolation is crucial to make it better soon. Anyways, staying at home may bring a lot of great ideas on what to do with all this free time, but also a lot of boredom.

I'm here to save you and give you a list of 31 don'ts while quarantining and the same amount of dos. Sounds good? Oh boy, it's gonna be a long list! Are you ready?

{Quick disclaimer}

This article is written humorously. Don't take it personally. Enjoy!

1. DON'T USE CANDLES

Reuse old wax to make new ones instead! You don't want your old candle to just boringly burn in the corner of the room? Making new candles out of old ones will be so much fun and it'll fill your free time.

2. DON'T START A NEW BOOK

Finish the ones you didn't have time to finish! Make use out of those bookmarks! It's a perfect time to catch up on reading.

3. DON'T USE NEW SHEETS OF PAPER

Make handmade paper out of old paper. I know it sounds silly, but you can make beautiful pieces of paper that are very unique! Every sheet can be different, just check this video out.

4. DON'T COOK YOUR FAVOURITE MEALS

Take that damn cookbook that is stacked behind plates and learn to cook some new dishes! Try to use ingredients you already have at home and get creative. What can be cooked out of leftovers? Do you crave sweets and don't have any? Maybe you could bake something? Experiment in the kitchen. Ps. It's also a great time to organize your spices. You don't need cinnamon in three separate bags, right?

5. DON'T THROW COFFEE GROUNDS AWAY

Mix them with coconut oil or just with shower gel and treat yourself with homemade peeling.

6. DON'T PLAN NEXT BEAUTICIAN VISIT

Create a home SPA in your bathroom! Light up the homemade candles, peel your skin with coffee peeling, make a face mask (you'll find plenty of recipes online, that will fit your needs), get those nails done, shape your eyebrows, make sugar paste for a-mazing depilation...whatever you want actually. Do the stuff you never have time for. You can also finally organize all your cosmetics!

7. DON'T BUY CLOTHES ONLINE

It's time for a major closet cleanout. Yes, before you buy something new, review your old clothes. Which will you wear, which you will not? What can you sell, what can you give to others? What is not in good enough shape to pass on and can be used as cleaning clothes at home? Is there anything you can transform? Ooooh and shoes. Organize the shoes too.

8. DON'T THROW ALL CLOTHES WITH HOLES AWAY

All right, maybe some pieces will not be useful anymore, but what about this stack of clothes in the corner, that wait to be fixed? Come on, sew on this button and try to fix this hole! Maybe some clothes are not used, because they need to be"shaved"? Get rid of pilling on clothes with a special device or a simple disposable razor.

9. DON'T LOOK AT THIS STACK OF FABRICS

Sew something already! Create something new out of old pieces of fabric or transform your old clothes! You never had time for this, right?

10. DON'T DO THE SAME WORKOUT

Try out all those workouts that you saved on your YouTube and try to take those "booty challenges" you screenshotted from Instagram fitness accounts.

11. DON'T PUT MORE VIDEOS ON "TO WATCH" PLAYLIST ON YOUTUBE

It's time to watch all those postponed videos you saved. You can also organize your YT playlists after that.

12. DON'T WATCH TV

Current news can be a little overwhelming, so instead of feeding yourself with bad information, start watching a show with a lot of seasons. You never had time to watch Game of Thrones? You want to catch up with Friends? This is the time.

13. DONT' ADD NEW FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK

Seriously, how many of your Facebook friends annoy you? Do you remember all of them? Would you say hi to all of them if you met on the street? Before you add new people, make a selection.

14. DON'T SCROLL THROUGH FACEBOOK WALL

Clear your old feed and pictures first. Make your page nice and appealing. Don't let your friends dig up your embarrassing 2009 posts ever again!

15. DON'T JOIN ANY NEW FACEBOOK GROUPS

Yeah, you probably know where this is going. It's time to leave some old, dead groups first. You can also unlike all the fan-pages you liked when you were young and now you just don't get their feed.

16. DON'T SAVE ANOTHER POST ON INSTAGRAM

Create collections first, organize all that crap you saved. Come on, separate good memes, from all those saved ironically.

17. DON'T FOLLOW NEW ACCOUNTS ON INSTAGRAM

Clear your followers up! Again, how many accounts annoy you or bore you or look the same as others or just are not your style anymore? Clear-them-up! Well...you could follow one new account... @gosiakkk

18. DONT' SPEAK IN YOUR LANGUAGE

Download language apps on your phone and start learning a new one! Try to learn one sentence and two new words a day. Who knows, maybe after quarantine you'll be fluent?

19. DON'T LOOK AT "THIS BROKEN THING"

Whatever that is for you, it's high time to fix it! Is it a cupboard, is it a piece of jewelry? Try to fix it with tools found at home. Oh! And you can also organize screws and nails so that different types and sizes are in different containers! Fun, huh?

20. DON'T MOVE UNWANTED STUFF FROM PLACE TO PLACE

It's time to make some tough decisions and say goodbye to some of your stuff. Organize all that crap. You can either throw some things away or prepare them to sell later. You can also prepare some stuff' to pass on to somebody who will make use of it...whatever that is for you.

21. DON'T PET YOUR HOME PUPIL

Maybe try to teach it some tricks? I'm sure even a gold fish can be thought something! I mean, pet your pupil a lot, of course. I couldn't come up with a better headline.

20. DON'T VACUUM MAIN SPACES

Vacuum spots that NEVER get to be vacuumed. Like behind the washing machine or insides of the lampshades.

22. DON'T CREATE ANOTHER "NEW FOLDER" ON DESKTOP

I mean...we all have those black holes of messy folders on our computers and hard drives. It's time for a major clean up!

23. DON'T LOOK AT PICTURES ON THE WALL

Bring your old computer, old flash discs or whatever you keep your old photographs on and spoil yourself with a slideshow of all those old phone pics you NEVER come back to.

24. DON'T CHECK ANOTHER INSTAGRAM STORY

Sit on the couch and check your old photo albums. I promise that it will make you smile at some point.

25. DON'T FREAK OUT YOU DON'T HAVE THE HAND SANITIZER

Either make your own with aloe vera and alcohol or just wash your hands with any soap and warm water. Do it often. You stay home anyway, right?

26. DON'T WATCH NEW MOVIES

Watch "The Hunger Games" trilogy and count how many times Katniss yells "PEETA!" in all three movies...or come up with a similar game with any other movie.

27. DON'T DO THE SAME HAIRSTYLE AGAIN

Yes baby, it's time to try out all those Pinterest hairstyles you made screenshots of!

28. DON'T COUNT YOUR SOCKS

Count all the coins from the 'for vacation' jar/piggybank. And get rid of the single socks. You'll never gonna find them anyway.

29. DON'T MISS CHRISTMAS

But organize ornaments and lights.

30. DON'T BE BORED

Play some online games and invite friends to join! Play some classic board games with your quarantine mates. When is the last time you played classic scrabble or with a deck of cards? Create art with whatever you have at home. Talk to friends and family. Do home chores you never have time for.

31. DON'T PANIC

That should be the main one on this list. We all have to keep calm instead. Get information from verified sources. Remember about the importance of hygiene...you probably know all of that anyway. I'm not gonna talk about it. It's not this kind of article. This one is funny.

Oh my...there are so many ways to keep yourself busy during quarantine. I hope I gave you some good ideas.

Stay safe guys, stay healthy, think about others.

Until next time, cheers!
