No degree or certification is needed for this position, as long as you speak English fluently you can make some extra money with Cambly! It takes a few weeks to get accepted as a tutor, but once you are accepted it's as easy as logging onto the Cambly platform and making yourself visible to the students. On my first day, I had 5 students calling in at the same time. You get to choose who to accept! Most students like to free chat to improve their conversational English. Some students have enrolled themselves into a Cambly course which will populate once you accept their call. You can choose who you would like as regular students or keep meeting new students daily. The pay is $0.17 per minute which adds up to be around $10.20 an hour. Cambly pays out via PayPal every Monday as long as you've made at least $20.

TranscribeMe - Transcribe Audio and Visuals

TranscribeMe is a great place to make extra money if you are good at listening and typing at the same time. There is an entrance exam, though they give you guides to help you pass! With TranscribeMe the base pay is around $15 per audio hour. Keywords "audio hour", I say this because most audio files are less than an hour long. At a base of $15 per audio hour, you're looking at around $0.25 per audio minute. From your work hub, you'll be able to see how long each file is and how much you'll make once you've completed the file. Depending on how fast you are at completing each project will dictate how much you make. TranscribeMe like Cambly pays weekly via PayPal so long as you've earned at least $20.

Rev - Transcribe Audio and Visuals

Similar to TranscribeMe Rev is a platform where you can earn money by transcribing audio. The work hub and transcribing platform are easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. Rev also has an entrance exam that must be passed before you will be accepted, and just like TranscribeMe Rev has a guide to help you pass. Rev pays around $0.30 per audio minute. Just like the other two work-from-home positions Rev pays weekly via PayPal on Mondays. I will warn you though, some of the audio and visuals may be disturbing to some audiences. Police, hospitals, and lawyers utilize this platform to have their files transcribed.

Assurance - Insurance Guide -or- "Freelance" Insurance Agent

I only worked with Assurance as an insurance guide which was okay. It has its perks which would be the daily payout and being able to work from home. You can earn between $4-6 per call connected; which, means how much you make per hour depends on how many calls you take and connect. Which also depends on how many calls get routed to you. The good thing is that you don't need any extra equipment so long as you have a USB headset with a mic and a computer with an internet connection. You can do this just about anywhere as long as you can hear the customers calling in and they can hear you. Assurance has many other remote positions that you can apply for one being a remote insurance agent. Provided you already have your insurance license you can work with Assurance selling insurance remotely. Clients get routed to you by the insurance guides.
