Vocal Just Keeps on Getting Competition: Meet Simily

And they bring promises

Everybody's talking about the platform surely you've heard about it, right?

What makes it competitive is the fact that they focus on creative writing, something that vocal has to offer too. It is what they focus on, it is what they're all about.

Payment method is a lifesaver

Stripe isn't the easiest way to deal with payments for some people here and on Medium. Maybe stripe express is easier to deal with, who knows? But even people from valid supported countries aren't safe anymore (or so they think) because some payments are taking forever (hey claim) and others are being canceled and all sorts of things in between.

To make life better Simily uses PayPal. Maybe it is the easiest service to use online. Is it the best? No! But easy to use and almost everybody has an account. Paypal has many limitations and they are known for closing accounts with no prior notice. But, for as long as nothing fishy shows up on your account it is still better than Stripe for most.

Simily editor deserves a medal

Because of what they focus on the platform's editor makes things easier for writers. It almost feels like using Microsoft word or Libre office. With headers H2,3 and 1. With the option of underlining words, ordered list, unordered list, creating tables, and the option to center your words as you please something that is pleasing in poetry.

Nobody's made enough to cash out yet

The platform is only a few months old but already promising. Attracting writers at most. Unlike vocal Simily doesn't have competitions, and challenges. So, until the platform is flooded with readers from every corner of the world Vocal has nothing to worry about. Simily might be looking up to vocal.media for all we know. Until now, even though it has been proven to be a legit website nobody I know has made enough to cash out yet.

Connecting and following is easy

The platform brings a Social Media feel and touch. Maybe this is one of the interesting features the platform brings to its users. You get to see a writer's profile like on most platforms too but you also get to see if your favorite writer is online and the opportunity to send them a message. Until now, it also presents an order list of the most recent writers (new writers) on the platform. This feature makes it easy for writers within the platform or perhaps readers and writers to connect. You also get to see who is online (general).

Even more connectivity through Groups

That social Media feel is real. Just like on Facebook the platform allows users to create groups on whatever relevant topic, this is in no doubt another way to bring people together and share experiences and ideas with one another in a secure space full of people who can offer support.

Still, people need a reason to visit this new platform

Unfortunately, all I've mentioned so far isn't necessarily good enough. People need more reasons to give this new platform a try, a reason to pay the subscription fee, a reason to visit the platform frequently and until now the majority don't have any of that. And, because of this, they may not be getting as many people on the platform yet as they've probably wanted although until a month or two back the platform claimed to be getting an interesting number of visitors, and that the number kept going up. To be specific it was a 500% growth rate month after month (I wonder how that was calculated).

So, is simily the next big thing, would you give it a shot? Let us see what happens as the platform grows.
