VOCAL IS AWESOME...

I have been writing on Vocal for a month or so and I came upon Vocal by mistake, to be honest. I was actually planning to write on Medium but due to some issues, which I will be explaining later, I didn’t write there. But now I am totally happy I made that decision. I believe the reason everyone prefers Medium over Vocal is that Medium pays a higher amount for reads than Vocal. But trust me this article will totally change your perspective.

Challenges

Challenges are something that appears frequently on Vocal. It helps us to ten or fifteen times your income and you don’t even have to take any extra effort as it will be just like posting another article on vocal. Another added advantage is that you can put in an already published article of yours into a new challenge so you don’t have to waste time wiping up an extra article.

Don’t Have Stripe, Don’t Worry

Both Medium and Vocal use stripe as their mode of payment but the problem is stripe is not globally available. This was the main reason why I couldn’t go for Medium. To earn on Medium you have to enter their partner program but it doesn’t allow you enter it if your country doesn’t have Stripe. While on the other hand, Vocal has no such issues. You can earn for your articles on Vocal and withdraw them whenever stripe get introduced in your country. Or you could ask your friends or relatives abroad to withdraw for you and later transfer it to you.

Tipping

Yet another brilliant way that Vocal has introduced to increase your income and help readers to show their admiration to their favorite writers. Any reader who feels to tip a writer can do so while reading that writer's article. An important note to remember is you have to link your Stripe account to a Vocal account to be able to receive tips otherwise your readers will not be able to pay you.

Bonus

My most favorite thing about Vocal is the bonuses. Vocal pays bonuses for achievements like if your story was selected as a top story, you give regular likes or generously tip others or sharing other stories, reaching a new milestone like 10, 50 articles or so, receive an exciting amount of reads, etc. This is one of my favorite features of vocal and there are many whole earn a lot only from bonuses. Bonuses are like Vocal's way of tipping their creators.

Free to read

On Medium, free members have only a limited amount of reads. To unlock unlimited reads, you will have to be a paid member. Moreover visiting viewers who just want to read the article many times are unable to do it unless they create an account. While on Vocal you can read an unlimited number of articles for free. You don’t need to even have an account, and anyone who is not a member can read. Vocal does have a paid membership option, but they have created it in such a way that it will minimize any sort of inequality between paid and unpaid members while at the same time paid members can enjoy their benefits. That's how good they are....
