Until now, no UK ISP had offered a Wi-Fi 6E router until Vodafone did

Wi-Fi 6E is the most recent innovation to come along in the realm of wireless networking. Today's Technological Revolution In Farming routinely uses sophisticated technologies such as robots, temperature and moisture sensors, aerial images, and GPS technology.

Consequently, these lead to transmission rates in the multi-gigabit range, which enable companies and consumers to get the most out of their full-fiber connections.

With other European markets to follow, Vodafone has launched its new Ultra Hub and Super WiFi booster in the UK on its Pro II Broadband packages. These devices feature the most recent WiFi 6E technology, which allows them to connect more than 150 devices at once while coordinating control of WiFi throughout the house.

Other key features of the new products include:

Unbreakable connection thanks to 4G broadband backup: If there is an internet disruption, Ultra Hub will automatically switch to Vodafone's top 4G network.

More sustainable design: In product housing, 95% of the plastic is recycled. The packaging is 100% recyclable and made with 85% recyclable materials.

In the UK, Vodafone is the first large broadband provider to implement WiFi 6E. The Ultra Hub is able to bring the UK's fastest WiFi technology across the house when combined with Vodafone's full fiber footprint, which is the largest in the UK with more than 9 million linked homes.

What is WiFi 6E technology?

Since WiFi became extensively used in homes, the technology has gone through numerous changes. These are recognized using a simplified numerical naming scheme, similar to the generations of mobile networks (2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G), where the higher the number, the newer and more trying to cut the technology.

The latest and splitting versions of WiFi technology are WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E, which were released in 2021. Only a small number of routers, such as Ultra Hubs, can support it. Its main objective is to increase reliability and reduce interference, especially in households and other places where there are many Wi-Fi-connected devices.

Along with the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies used by previous generations of WiFi, WiFi 6E operates on the uncontested 6GHz band. Depending on the location you're in, there are different regulations regarding 6GHz usage, however, any WiFi 6E router or device using it should have increased reliability.

WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E can reach max speeds of between 600 and 9,608Mbps.

The speed and range of your wireless internet connection will depend on whatever version of WiFi your router and devices are now using. We explain them and demonstrate how to detect which ones you possess.

Most of us don't give WiFi much thought. We just need it to function. However, it is beneficial to know which version of WiFi is in your router, smartphone, laptop, and other gadgets because WiFi has been in a variety of formats ever since it became extensively used in 1999.

Speed, resilience to interference and congestion, and security have all grown with each new version. Security and the chance that a wireless signal will reach every room in your house are after all extremely important as raw speed.

The numbering scheme used for WiFi versions is currently very uncomplicated; the higher the number, the newer and more advanced the technology. However, they are still commonly referred to using a more archaic, convoluted, and fussy naming system. We've used both in our analysis of the most popular WiFi versions.

It's important to remember that the maximum speeds given below are theoretical maximums; in reality, the speeds you'll experience will depend on a variety of elements, including the number of antennas in your devices and the thickness of your home's walls. Additionally, the speed of the internet line entering your home, which is different from the speed of your wireless signal, must be examined.

The fact that most customers utilize equipment that their broadband provider provides makes the release of the first compatible routers an important event, and Vodafone is hopeful that it will present the company with a technological edge over its rivals.
