American Roulette is a game of chance, making it crucial to comprehend the odds linked to the various types of bets. Understanding your chances of winning is always beneficial, which in turn helps you make informed choices about your betting strategies.

Unlike European and French Roulette games, American Roulette table consists of 38 numbers - 1 to 36 (colored in red and black), plus two zeros: 0 and 00.

American Roulette Bets, Payouts and Odds.

Inside Bets:

  • Straight - Betting on a single number, including 0 and 00. The Payout is 35:1 and the Odds are 2.6%.
  • Split - Betting on the line between two neighboring numbers (vertically or horizontally). The Payout is 17:1 and the Odds are 5.3%.
  • Street - Betting on three numbers in a row and located on the outer boundary of the selected row. The Payout is 11:1 and the Odds are 7.9%.
  • Basket - Betting on three consecutive numbers: 0, 1 and 2 or 00, 2 and 3 or 0, 00 and 2. This bet needs to be made precisely at the intersection of one of the previously mentioned combinations. The Payout is 11:1 and the Odds are 7.9%.
  • Corner - Betting on four neighboring numbers, creating a square. The Payout is 8:1 and Odds are 10.5%.
  • First Five - Betting on the first five numbers: 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. This bet ought to be positioned at the outer intersection point of 00 and 3. The Payout is 6:1 and the Odds are 13.2%.
  • 6 Line - Betting on six numbers, located at the intersection point of the outer borders of two neighboring rows. The Payout is 5:1 and the Odds are 15.8%.

Outside Bets:

  • Column - Betting on twelve numbers on any of the three columns, positioned in the 2:1 box at the bottom of your selected column. The Payout is 2:1 and the Odds are 31.6%.
  • Dozen - Betting on the first twelve numbers (1 to 12) or the second twelve numbers (13 to 24) or the third twelve numbers (25 to 36). The Payout is 2:1 and the Odds are 31.6%.
  • Low or High - Betting on the first eighteen numbers (1 to 18), referred as the Low bet. Betting on the last eighteen numbers, (19 to 36), known to as the High bet. 0 and 00 are not categorized as either High bet or Low bet. The Payout is 1:1 and the Odds are 47.4%.
  • Even or Odd - Betting on whether the outcome will be Odd or Even. Place your bet in the Even box of or the Odd box. 0 and 00 are not Even or Odd. The Payout is 1:1 and the Odds are 47.4%.
  • Red or Black - Betting on the color of the outcome. Place your bet either on Red or on Black. 0 and 00 are not classified as Red or Black. The Payout is 1:1 and the Odds are 47.4%.
