The 6th most populous country, Pakistan is one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia. its startups have received $85 M funding in Venture Capital (VC). For a better economic outlook: it has grabbed $120 M in July 2021 but didn’t utilize $66 M raised in 2020.

According to the data given by Dawn News, across 35 unique ecosystem startups crossed $120 M but 48 deals were recorded with $66 M. And ventures firms or investors continue to build their war chest against poverty to give a rise to transports, logistics, engineering, and other problem-solving startups for the last 2 years.

Investors are willing passionately to fund more in the following Pakistani tech startups below:

Oraan

Agenda: Helps Women to open bank accounts for their financial services without any hurdles.

Founders: Halima Iqbal, Farwah Tapal

Fund: $4 Million

Investors: Zayn Capital, Wavemaker Partners, Resolution Ventures, i2i Ventures, Hustle Fund, Haitou Global, Plug and Play, Claire Diaz-Ortiz

To replace difficulty for women to ease in opening bank accounts to create without facing social norms. Took 3.5 months for Halima to have a basic bank account, the problem made her an entrepreneur and she ended up with a seed round fintech startup called Oraan to help all women across Pakistan. The co-founders are working to empower their own bank. The user base of Oraan has 84% of women of 10 K users- means over 28% growth monthly.
