Welcome to my blog and videos on delivery business under TOMSIK DELIVERY COMPANY on youtube.

HERE ARE THE TOP 10 QUESTIONS I GOT IN 2020 FROM DOORDASH DRIVERS:

1) DOES DOORDASH TAKE OUT TAXES:

As a doordash driver you are considered a independent contractor.

In essence you are self employed.

Doordash does not remove any Federal,State, or Social Security or Unemployment benefits from your pay.

It is recommended you put 40% of your earnings away for taxes.

2) HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO WORK FOR DOORDASH:

18

3) DO I NEED A DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CAR INSURANCE:

Yes as a contractor you will need a valid driver's license and car insurance.

However Doordash does offer some walking and bicycle deliveries and insurance is not required for these types of deliveries.

4) CAN I TAKE A FAMILY MEMBER OF FRIEND ON DELIVERIES:

Doordash has no policy on the matter, however is is not encouraged by the company.

5) HOW DO I GET PAID THROUGH DOORDASH:

You will need to get on the app and enter your bank account or debit card info.

Doordash pays WEEKLY or has a feature called FAST PAY.

Under FAST PAY you can cash out every 24 hours for the earnings you made.

There is a fee I believe it is $2 but your pay will hit your bank with in minutes.

6) HOW MUCH CAN I MAKE ON DOORDASH:

This can be a question with multiple answers because you are paid at least $2 per delivery or more, but than the customers can tip you as well.

You get to keep all the tips.

In my past experience a delivery takes between 20 to 40 minutes so it depends on 2 factors how many deliveries and how much in tips you earn.

Also Doordash offers peak pay hours that adds income to the deliveries.

The national average is between $15 to $25 dollars per hour.

7) HOW MANY HOURS CAN I DELIVER EACH DAY:

Doordash does not restrict how many hours you work, however there has to be work available and deliveries for you to deliver.

8) CAN I WORK WITH OTHER COMPANIES WHILE I DELIVER WITH DOORDASH:

There is no policy that prevents you from working multiple delivery companies, however it can be quite difficult to manage the deliveries from multiple companies.

9) WHAT IS THE RED CARD and DO I HAVE TO MAKE CUSTOMER ORDERS:

Doordash sends what is called a RED CARD it is a debit card that the driver uses at the restaurants to pay for the food. This card is also used at CVC, WALGREENS, and some convenience stores. It is possible at times you will have to make the food order for customers, and also recently doordash is doing personal shopping. For the most part NO you do not make orders but it is possible you might have to.

10) DOES DOORDASH OFFER ANY BENEFITS:

As I stated above your an independent contractor or self employed. As being a contractor Doordash is not obligated to provide any type of benefits. However doordash does offer health ins through a company called stride. Also doordash does have discounts with multiple companies for drivers.

Just as a final note Doordash also offers a portal online through the web page for drivers. On this portal you can find items you need for delivery services like hot bags, stickers, and other items, you can also find the companies that work with doordash.
