The Next Chapter: Whitney Leavitt on Closing the Baby Chapter, Finding Her Voice, and Building a Media Empire
The reality star and Broadway lead opens up about her partnership with husband Conner, their family of five, and why she's done having children.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is not the only thing Whitney Leavitt is closing the chapter on. In this week's PEOPLE cover story, the reality star, 33, who shares three kids — Sedona, 6, Liam, 4, and Billy, 22 months — with husband Conner Leavitt, says she is done having children. "After our third I said to Conner, 'Snip snip, buddy,'" Whitney says. "Our family is complete."
With three children and a new home closer to their families in Utah, the couple is focused on balancing parenting and their evolving careers. "I think people would be very surprised how much help we don't have," Whitney says. "We've been able to tag-team. It's never, 'You will always do this, and I will always do that.' It's, 'How can we make this work together?' "
A Partnership Built on Teamwork
Adds Conner, 32, "We're literally living our dream. We've worked really hard for this, and we'll never take it for granted." Their relationship has weathered significant challenges, including the public scrutiny of their marriage during the early seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. But through it all, they've remained each other's greatest supporters.
"We went through something incredibly difficult," Conner says. "Whitney had every excuse to say, 'I'm gonna do the rest of this life without you,' but instead she said, 'You know what? I love you. I'm going to support you,' and she did."
Whitney credits Conner with being her rock during some of the most challenging moments of her career. "Even when things were a s--t show, I always had Conner," she says of her husband, with whom she celebrated 10 years of marriage in June.
A Cheerleader Through Every Chapter
Conner's support has been unwavering throughout Whitney's career evolution. He attended more than 20 of her Chicago performances on Broadway and gave her flowers to match her outfits every week during Dancing with the Stars season 34.
"Whitney is the love of my life," says Conner. "If you truly care about somebody, you want to see them live their dreams. She supports me just as hard as I support her. She's my best friend."
The couple's partnership has been a cornerstone of their success, both personally and professionally. "We're a team, and the foundation of that is communicating 1,000% and being selfless, being a motivator, being honest," Whitney says. "We're not perfect, but just like any team that you're a part of, you figure it out day by day."
Building a Media Empire
The two are growing together both as a couple and in their careers after recently launching their production company, Leavitt Media House, as they move into film. "One thing about my wife is she has a vision and she can manifest anything in this life," Conner says. "We are so grateful."
"I can't control people accepting me in their projects, so let me go out and create my own," adds Whitney, who is starring in and executive-producing the holiday rom-com All for Love this year.
The move into production represents a natural next step for Whitney, who has already broken box office records as the lead in Chicago on Broadway and made her mark on Dancing with the Stars. Her ability to manifest her ambitions has been a driving force in her career.
A Vision for the Future
As for what's next, it's still unwritten. "Performing and creating is where I am putting my energy," Whitney says. "I just want to enjoy this moment and have the time of my life."
Her decision to close the chapter on having more children reflects a desire to focus on her career and her family as they are. With three kids and a thriving career, Whitney is embracing the present while looking ahead to new opportunities.
A Journey from Villain to Star
Whitney's journey from being painted as the "villain" in the early seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives to breaking box office records on Broadway and starring in a holiday rom-com has been nothing short of remarkable. Her ability to pivot and reinvent herself is a testament to her resilience and determination.
"I think people would be very surprised how much help we don't have," Whitney says, emphasizing the hard work and dedication that have gone into building their family and careers. "We've been able to tag-team. It's never, 'You will always do this, and I will always do that.' It's, 'How can we make this work together?' "
Whitney Leavitt's story is one of resilience, partnership, and self-discovery. From reality TV villain to Broadway star, she has proven that with the right support and a willingness to evolve, anything is possible. As she closes one chapter and opens another, Whitney is focused on enjoying the moment and creating a life that reflects her dreams.
