Introduction

We've all been there. You're at an event or a party, having a great time with your friends and family. Suddenly, When someone begins to boast about how much money they make or how successful their career is, it can be incredibly off-putting. It's almost impossible not to feel self-conscious and judged when you're around someone like this.

However, the truth is that billionaires don't want people thinking badly about them — they want us to understand that success doesn't come from earning large amounts of money or becoming famous overnight (although those things certainly help!). Instead, success comes from being able to show up and figure out what it is that needs to be done each day."

"The key to success is to be able to evaluate reality, not how things seem or how you wish them to be." - Jack Dalrymple

If you want to be successful, it's important that you learn from your mistakes. Be honest with yourself and be willing to take risks. You should also be willing to change when necessary, as the world is constantly changing around us.Finally, at least once a year—perhaps more often if your circumstances change drastically—it may be helpful for you to take another look at the goals that guided you in making changes.

"It's more important to do the right things than it is to say the right things." - Bill Marriott

Bill Marriott, a billionaire hotelier, once said that it's more important to do the right things than it is to say the right things. This might sound like an obvious statement, but there are many people who don't practice it. In fact, we often worry about what other people think and how they'll react if we do something different than they expected or hoped for.

But there's an even bigger lesson here: Don't worry about how others perceive your actions! It's not worth it—and we all know this from experience (or from watching our parents). Don't let the fears you have about yourself—and your life choices, decisions and experiments—keep you from moving forward with confidence.

If you look at the world and think, 'Things are probably going to be alright

"If you look at the world and think, 'Things are probably going to be alright,' then you will make decisions that are different from ones you'll make if you're scared or angry. No matter what anyone else says, the question is: How do you feel? It's no one else's responsibility. Of course, we hope for the best for everybody. But when it comes down to it, your emotions are up to you." - Jeff Weiner

Stay positive. When you're feeling down, it can be hard to see the bright side of things. But staying upbeat is key if you want to make decisions that benefit yourself and others in your life.

Practice gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful emotion: It makes us feel good about ourselves and our situation, which helps us focus on what matters most in life—like being thankful for all the good things we have!

Seek out positive experiences like going out with friends or taking a walk around town; these will boost your mood as well as improve your memory skills (which help keep negative memories from taking hold).

"Success comes from being able to show up and figure out what it is that needs to be done each day. There's nothing that can replace that. It's true in business, government or whatever work you do in life." - Mary Landrieu

Success comes from being able to show up and figure out what it is that needs to be done each day. There's nothing that can replace that. It's true in business, government or whatever work you do in life.

It sounds simple enough but it's something many people struggle with every day - showing up for themselves! We all have busy lives and we all have things going on outside of our control but we still need to make time for ourselves so there are no excuses for not taking care of ourselves first before anything else happens in life.

"I am not intimidated by anyone in the political arena. I don't look at anyone as a threat. We all have a purpose here." - Cory Booker

Cory Booker is the current mayor of Newark, New Jersey. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2013 after serving as a city councilman and member of both houses of the New Jersey General Assembly for several years beforehand.

In an interview with Time magazine earlier this year, Booker talked about his experiences as a public servant: “I have never felt like I was in conflict with anyone—not even when it came time for me to run for office here or seek higher office."

"It's just very clear: We all have our purpose here," he added later on during our conversation (emphasis ours).

"I always wanted to be an editorial cartoonist. I didn't really have time for anything else because nobody would hire a woman editorial cartoonist in my day." - Ann Telnaes

Ann Telnaes is the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning and she was born in 1954. Her parents were both farmers, so growing up on a farm in rural Minnesota made her feel like she was part of a small community. She says that she developed an unshakable sense of self-confidence when writing cartoons, which allows her to be “annoyingly positive” about any subject matter (even if it isn't all that funny).

When asked how she became interested in drawing cartoons, Telnaes said: "I always wanted to be an editorial cartoonist but I didn't really have time for anything else because nobody would hire a woman editorial cartoonist in my day."
