The campus was buzzing with excitement, but I felt a knot of anxiety in my stomach. As I unpacked in my dorm room, my dad stood by, his presence a comforting anchor in a sea of uncertainty. He handed me a small, leather-bound journal. "Write everything down, Em," he said. "Your thoughts, your goals, your struggles. It will help you make sense of things." I nodded, not fully understanding the significance of his words at the time, but I tucked the journal into my desk drawer, promising myself to use it. ## Chapter 2: The First Hurdle The first semester was a whirlwind. Between adjusting to new classes, making friends, and trying to find my footing, I felt overwhelmed.
