Nevertheless, as an experienced remote worker, I contend that this trend is firmly established, and there are myriad reasons why.

Blue ClaysPublished 9 months ago in JournalDo some of you actually prefer reading here on vocal instead of an actual book?
What is better? Vocal or an actual book. A long time ago I started writing on this platform because I wanted to strengthen my writing ability to eventually become a published author. And looking back at the stories that I wrote here, I straight up feel like I was simply writing to be read rather than being intentional about the whole thing. In a book, the author has a purpose for creating the story and the reader has a purpose for reading it. But here on vocal, I never knew what I was going to write, and when I finally decided on a topic I remember pushing myself to create content out of the blue even though I had no genuine motivation to write said topic. The purpose was simply not there. Thus making each story hard to write, long to make, and frustrating to work with. It was a draining experience. Some of the stories I wrote even make me cringe to this day because of how bad they actually are! So I stopped writing and pursued other things. Nonetheless, I came back 2 years later, because I still have the goal to become a published author. And I still want to improve my writing abilities to best convey what I think is important through storytelling. So I'm switching gears and plan to take a different approach.

31 August 2023 I was telling Ratih about my night out last weekend. In the middle of the story, I had an epiphany. George the Busker outside the casino who has been a friend of mine over the past 13 years since I started dancing at the casino, informed me about 6 or 8 weeks ago that I better be careful as “one of the homeless men might go psychotic and stab me!”

30 August 2023 Today has been an intensely emotional and spiritual day. I made a long video for YouTube (almost 2 hours long!) It took forever to upload and then I spent the same amount of time analysing my own self and agonising about putting my truth out “there” with such pure vulnerability.

29 August 2023 3.11 pm it’s been a lovely day. A storm is currently rolling in, clearing the air. But the barometric pressure has made me feel weak and dizzy and I now have a headache.

25 August 2023 Another glorious day. I woke up at 7 am but decided to go back to sleep. I am exhausted. I woke again at 10.30 am. From a weird dream about being in a white hacienda-style house, regaling friends about how I once invited myself off the street to an outlaw bikie clubhouse.
