Dear Secretary Who Doesn't Know What a Mail Delivery Failure Is
Dear secretary who doesn't know what a mail delivery failure notification is, First of all, thank you for manning this desk and accepting packages for people because the mail men aren't smart enough to find office numbers. I know that it isn't a fun job. I've done similar jobs in the past. I've done a lot of paper-pushing and my fair share of mail processing in past jobs.
Cali HollyhillPublished 5 years ago in JournalIs the Gender Pay Gap Real?
I have heard a lot about the gender pay gap for a while; women allegedly make 70 cents to a man's $1. I have heard this ploy for years and have always wondered where people get this crap.

Allie strode down the sidewalk practically dancing as her earbuds pumped her newest favorite song through her. Her blond hair swayed and her bright smile flashes at every passerby. She jogged into the coffee shop and easily found her friends at one of the corner tables.

I've seen tonnes of horror films. Would I be suited for a job as an undertaker? You'd be surprised at just how many CV's are laughed at because of this. And whilst you may think being a horror fanatic is a good thing when searching for a job in the funeral trade, it really does NOT assist you in the selection process. Trust me. Having a keen interest in the horror genre literally has NOTHING to do with the funeral trade, so keep that off your credentials.

If you are a single mother you are well aware of the affiliate programs being offered by numerous online companies. These programs turn normal consumers like you into brand ambassadors. What is a severance package? A severance package, or severance agreement, is offered to employees when they are laid off or terminated by their employer. The standard severance pay includes a week's salary for every year the employee has worked. An executive position would typically receive more.

In my 23 years of living, I never had to work in retail. I did my fair share of shopping in department stores without knowing the other side of the retail business. I have been in continuous guilt because of one thing. I did not know that something so small and mindless could bother me once I was behind the register. The thing that has been poking and prodding me is the things I have done in a fitting room.
Sarah BlainPublished 6 years ago in Journal10 Things You Didn't Know About Your Server/Bartender
10. Dine and Dashers Most people probably don't know this, but dining and dashing means that your server just paid out of their own pocket to serve you. Most restaurants have a system where the server will tip out a small portion of their earnings to the bartender and the host (if there happens to be one) and that's taken out of the servers accumulated tips. Not only do they have to pay tip out of their tips, but some places (not mine) even make them pay the amount that was walked out on.
Summer PattersonPublished 6 years ago in JournalThe Weird and Wonderful World of the Office
In recent years I have become fascinated with the approach to work in the office environment and how we look at it differently to the shopfloor. Having worked on the shopfloor in a manufacturing environment and transferred to the other side, it strikes me there are some stark differences that don't make sense.

Every single person out there has experienced stressful days, weeks, or months at work. There are no jobs in existence that don’t have stress attached to them, and while it’s normal to have a rare day when you end up crying, you may need to think twice about seeing this as par for the course if it’s happening too often.

What Is Guy Culture and How to Disrupt It
Many people—men and women—hear the word "feminism" and scream, ridicule, and run away. It has been made out to be a bad word; a trigger word. The story of feminism gets twisted into "women hate men" and "women complain for no reason" instead of what it really is: Women want the same respect that men have.
