The Blue City of Chefchaouen
Chefchaouen was founded in the 15th century, specifically in the year 1471. It was established by Moroccan Andalusians who migrated to the region after the end of Islamic rule in Andalusia. The city was founded by a Moroccan named Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Rashid Al-Alawi. The name "Chefchaouen" comes from the Amazigh language and means "the horns" or "the mountain's peaks," and it has been transliterated into Arabic as "شفشاون." Since then, the city has grown and prospered, becoming one of the most attractive cities in Morocco due to its natural beauty and unique cultural and architectural heritage.
