Want to make more money but can’t seem to get a raise or a better job at the moment? Maybe you’re paying off debt, trying to save for a vacation, or whatever it is, you just flat out need money. I get it! I’ve been in your shoes where I fell behind on credit card payments and made things worse by buying stupid things.

I overextended myself and didn’t have money to cover my basic expenses such as rent and food. I had no idea what to do. I was stressed, exhausted, and worried that I screwed up my life.

In today’s world, it’s super easy to make money on your free time. You won’t get rich, but you can make a good amount of money to supplement your income without making too many drastic changes.

Side hustles range from driving people around to micro lending. Here are some side hustles I have either used or know someone who has.

1. Drive Uber or Lyft

It’s not glamorous, but it’s an extra paycheck. If you live near a major city, you can make a decent amount in a few hours. From my experience in the San Francisco Bay Area, some drivers can earn about $500 per day! But keep in mind the price of gas and maintenance as well as your time. 2. AirBnB

Do you have an extra room in your apartment or house? You can try renting it out. You can make anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars a month depending on how often you rent it out and amenities you offer to justify your price. Check it out at Airbnb.com.

3. Lending Club

You can be an investor on Lending Club and loan other people money. All it takes is a minimum investment of $25. You get to choose the loans you invest in, and you can really use this to kickstart a savings account. You won’t make a ton of money, but if you constantly reinvest your earnings and add funds consistently, you can build a solid nest egg. Check it out at lendingclub.com.

4. Stash-It

A new website that looks promising is Stash-It. It’s a platform where you can rent out a portion of your home as storage space. So if you have a closet or garage space (or any space) free, you can make money as a Host on Stash-It. Hosts set their monthly rate and keep 80% of the monthly fee.
