A Love Letter to Me

You are various shades of blue, in the way that you wish to bring peace to those around you. In the way you look to soothe the hurt and pain of the ones you love. Even though there is still healing that you need to do. In the way that the more fragile pieces of you come undone when you are alone, and you create a sense of order in the chaos. A sense of order that can be lost leaving you feeling out of control.

But I love you for every shade of blue that you are, the light and the dark.

You are various shades of red, in the way you take action. Even if you do so last minute, or in a delayed manner because we know you're a habitual procrastinator. In the way you can make decisions based on impulse, but with the best intentions in mind. In the way you share your passions and look to draw attention to change. In the way you feel emotions intensely and in some cases in silence. Which can at times be overwhelming.

I love you for every shade of red that you are, the light and dark.

You are various shades of yellow, in the way you try to spread happiness and positivity. Even on the days you're struggling to find the positive side of things, or lacking in those happy feelings. In the way you try to provide clarity to situations, to allow insight and better understanding. In the way you look to inspire those around you and spread the belief that anything is possible. In the way you exercise caution, even if it's to an extent that causes you unnecessary worry and anxiety.

I love you for every shade of yellow that you are, the light and dark.

You are various shades of pink, in the way you share compassion. Even when it can cause you to carry other's emotions with you. In the way you can be timid and uncertain but yet still carry on with force as if you never had a doubt to begin with. In the way you love deeply, and look to bring joy and warmth to others. In the way you recognize your femininity and the beauty in womanhood, and being in tune with that woman's intuition. Even in the way you can succumb to waves of emotions.

I love you for every shade of pink that you are, the light and dark.

You are various shades of green, in the way you are always looking for opportunities to grow and learn as a person; and in every role you take on. In the way you look to be generous and provide a sense of hope to others. Even when you're lacking in hope yourself. In the way you look to spread words of encouragement and push others to be their best selves. Even though you're still working on yourself every day.

I love you for every shade of green that you are, the light and dark.

You are various shades of purple, in the way you may or may not be sensitive. In the way you carry wisdom beyond your years. In the way you allow for your imagination to run wild, ultimately keeping your creativity alive. It reflects in the way you express yourself. In the way you look to stay connected to the world around you and hold on to that sense of spirituality.

I love you for every shade of purple that you are, the light and dark.

Every color that you are in all the various shades, the way they mix and blend to make you, you. A beautiful work of art.
