Human beings have many noble characteristics, but there is one noble character that is the pinnacle of humanity, and that is personal self-esteem. A person who is cheerful and open-minded will feel the joy of self-esteem. Whether it is one's affirmation of one's value or the affirmation of others' values, i.e. self-respect and being respected, one is happy. The only way to have self-respect is to know shame. Respect for oneself is a bottom line in life, a highlight of life, and self-respect is priceless. Respect for others is a discipline of life, a landscape of life, and respect for others is elegant. Self-respect, or self-respect, means, "neither groveling to others nor allowing others to discriminate or insult." Whether others respect you or not, first you must respect yourself. Only those who respect themselves know how to respect others and will be respected by others.

Self-respect is the value of personality. Personality is the sum of human dignity, value, and character. Generally speaking, a person without self-respect is difficult to get the respect of others. In life, by believing in oneself, looking up to oneself, and respecting oneself, one can find the value of one's life and feel the joy of self-respect through one's further efforts. Self-esteem, or self-respect, means neither groveling to others nor allowing others to discriminate or insult, is a healthy and good psychological state, we feel the meaning of life, to experience that they are valuable and needed by others and that this value is often recognized and appreciated by others.

To be a person with self-esteem, one should have a foundation of character. It includes one's cultivation, one's quality, and one's outlook on life and worldview. Character is the sum of a person's dignity, worth, and character. Respect for oneself is a bottom line of life, a highlight of life. Self-respect is a priceless treasure in human life, it is what helps us to become strong in life. Self-respect is the soul of being a human being, the fulcrum of self-confidence and self-improvement. If a person does not know himself correctly, his self-esteem will not be improved even if others rate him high. Self-improvement and self-protection are required for people with high self-esteem levels. Self-improvement is to raise the level of self-esteem, and self-protection is to avoid losing self-esteem. Only people with self-esteem know how to respect others and will be respected by others. Therefore, self-respect is the backbone of a person, self-respect is a kind of fearlessness, self-respect is the necessary conduct of a person, but also the core value of life as a person and as a person.

To have self-respect, one should overcome pompous vanity. The behavior of vanity is the pursuit of superficial glory, glory. Vanity arises from a blurred self-understanding, taking fame and fortune as the internal motivation that governs one's actions and placing too much emphasis on others' evaluation of oneself. It should be understood that vanity is a distortion of self-esteem; the way to correct it is to follow the right way of thinking and clarify what one's real needs are. To readily accept other people's instructions to themselves, to be able to correctly understand their intentions, should take a humble, loyal and willing attitude to accept, which not only will not lose face but will others' views, leaving a good impression on each other.

Do have self-respect, should a hundred times respect others. To respect others, respect for others is the need for self-respect, but also the need for self-improvement. Respect for others facilitates a better understanding of oneself. Only with the need to better know oneself with the help of others' evaluation, does everyone respects each other and accepts each other to enjoy the joy of being together in self-esteem. In the process of knowing oneself, due to the limitations of knowledge and experience, there are often blind spots and misunderstandings, and the kind reminders of others will make people more strict with themselves, and constantly enhance their strengths to be dignified and valuable people. Be good at appreciating and accepting others and do not do things that undermine the character of others. Be respectful of others, do not trample on their dignity, do not violate their privacy, do not openly confront them, do not actively expose them, and do not defy their existence. In this way, a person's self-respect can be trusted.

To be a person with self-respect, one should have openness and cheerfulness. By developing an open and cheerful character, one can appreciate more the wisdom of others and feel the joy of self-respect. To get mutual respect, you need to be tolerant and generous. Collisions and conflicts will inevitably occur when people get along with each other. To respect each other in the face of different individuals, we need to be tolerant and generous. Only with an open mind can we master the "degree" of self-respect. Should know and clear: moderate self-esteem helps to face accusations and criticism, and correct their shortcomings and mistakes, which is the true meaning of open-mindedness; excessive self-esteem, so that people are too sensitive, cocooned, do not experience the joy of life, which is contrary to the original intention of open-mindedness. Only master the method of tolerance towards others, to achieve the self-respecting people open-minded requirements.

To be a person with self-esteem, one should be happy to accept themselves. To accept yourself, the most important thing is to learn to know and understand yourself. Learn about yourself by comparing yourself with others. Know yourself by the attitude of others. There is always a need to interact with others and get along with them. The attitude of others towards oneself is like a mirror that can be used to observe oneself. Only when you truly know and understand yourself can you accept yourself. To accept yourself, you need to learn to calmly deal with your gains and losses. To accept oneself, one must also have the self-confidence that "I was born to be useful", strive to expand one's life experience, set up ambitions that are in line with one's actual situation, and cherish one's character and reputation.

In a word, self-esteem is a spiritual need and the core of personality. It is human instinct and nature to maintain self-esteem. Both the affirmation of one's values and the affirmation of others' values, i.e., self-respect and being respected, are pleasurable.
