Social influence refers to the impact of others on an individual's attitudes and behavior. Social influence can occur through conformity, compliance, or obedience. Conformity is the tendency to adjust one's attitudes or behavior to align with the norms or expectations of a group. Compliance is the act of following a request or demand from someone with authority or power. Obedience is the act of following the commands of an authority figure.

Positive attitudes can lead to positive behaviors, such as kindness and cooperation, while negative attitudes can lead to negative behaviors, such as aggression and discrimination.
