North West's Dark 'Aishite' Video: A 13-Year-Old's Cry for Love in a World of Betrayal

After canceling her first headlining tour, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's eldest daughter releases a haunting music video that explores themes of isolation and distrust.

North West is laying it all out on the mic. The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West released a new music video for her song "Aishite" on Thursday, Aug. 6, a dark, horror-inspired visual that arrives just days after her first headlining tour was abruptly canceled.

The nearly two-and-a-half-minute clip, directed by Ty Akimoto, features several haunting sequences of West roaming the halls of an empty school and a video game center. Decked out in a gothic-inspired black dress, neon blue pigtails, heavy dark makeup, faux facial piercings, and a black teeth grill, the young rapper embraces an eerie aesthetic that is a far cry from the polished glamour often associated with her famous family.

Lyrics of Pain and Isolation

The song's Japanese title translates to "love me," a plea that echoes throughout the thumping rap track. But beneath the hook lies a raw exploration of betrayal, loneliness, and feeling used.

"Ain't nobody finna save me / Ay, and it's drivin' me crazy," West sings in the first verse. "Just love me, everyone betrays mе. ... She pretend they ain't usin' me again / Can't be no one's friend, I can't let nobody in / Can't depend on anyone, the sufferin' won't end".

Elsewhere, she raps: "I'm seein' blood daily / And it's drivin' me crazy / Yeah, can't escape 'cause they chase me". In another verse, she references her personal style: "Always got some piercings on me, this is not a trend".

The video's unsettling tone matches the lyrics. In one jump scare, the camera closes in on North as she turns to reveal a face without eyes, a nose, or a mouth. The imagery reinforces the song's themes of isolation and the inability to trust.

Release After Tour Cancellation

The music video's release comes a week after North seemingly scaled back her co-headlining tour with rapper Molly Santana. The Kimokawaii Tour was set to kick off on Aug. 5 in Dallas, but on July 31, the tour dates were marked as "canceled" on Ticketmaster. The tour's official website has been shut down.

Addressing the cancellation on her Instagram Stories, North wrote: "I was really excited to go on tour w Molly Santana. Sadly, it isn't happening anymore. But I have something special for u gu. Seeee ya soon". According to a Daily Mail source, Kanye West is planning a "small tour" for North to compensate for the canceled shows.

Fan Reactions and Concern

Shortly after the video dropped, fans flooded the comments with a mix of appreciation and concern. Many viewers focused on the lyrics, interpreting them as a deeply personal expression of pain. One comment read: "This song is really sad. I was depressed at 13 too, hopefully North gets the love and support she needs from somewhere". Another urged people to listen closely: "I like it but can I just say that while we are bopping our heads we should listen to the lyrics of what she's saying. She is crying out don't fail her like we've failed so many others".

Some commenters drew parallels to their own teenage years, while others saw the dark visuals as a rebellion against her family's polished image.

"Aishite" serves as a single from West's debut EP, N0rth4evr, which was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. West, who turned 13 in June, produced every song on the six-track project.

Whether the lyrics reflect her personal experiences or are part of a dark concept, North's latest release has struck a chord with listeners. At just 13, she is navigating the complexities of fame, family, and finding her own voice and she's not afraid to let the world hear her pain.
